"My betta loovvess this food. But the only problem i have with it, if you buy the smaller version...the thing it comes in sucks. So i poured all of it in this little container i have. Everytime i open it up it SMELLS SO BAD. But most importantly, my fish goes crazy for it."

"I got a female betta 1 month ago the first weeks she would not eat the pellets. They were too big!!! But now she eats a lot, she would eat anything. To keep her betta diet I feed her brine shrimp, Bio-Gold Pellets, & flake food. I recommend this for MALE bettas! (maybe big female bettas) like mine. She loves her 2 gallon tank w/ gravel ALL to her self. ~*GOOD-BYE*~ =)"

"This is the only food I will ever feed my betta. I went to a flake food for a while but that not only clouded the water, but also caused my betta to lose it's vibrant color. Hands down, this is the best betta food out there."

"Absolutely the best staple dry food for bettas out there. I have had tons of bettas and have not had one who would not eat this - and they have all been healthy, beautiful, and long lived. The size is perfect and they float well, even after being tossed around by the filter current; a must since bettas are surface feeders.
It must be fed in conjunction with frozen bloodworms though for optimal nutrition, but there is no beating this food. Hikari also makes the best quality frozen bloodworms.
The larger package is also very convenient, especially if you have multiple tanks with bettas.
If you have a betta, you HAVE to have this food - along with Hikari's frozen bloodworms. It is a quality, healthy brand."

"I have been keeping bettas for about 4 years now. During that time I've tried a few different betta foods, but have always came back to Hikari Betta Bio-Gold pellets. I keep my bettas in filtered tanks (recommend this!) and feed these pellets. I have rarely had any disease outbreaks. With the exception of a couple bettas, all my bettas have lived long lives! These Hikari pellets may be a little more expensive than some other foods, but you get what you pay for!"

"I've had 9 Bettas and this is the food that they universally love. My most recent fishy started liking the flake food for awhile (3-4 weeks) but then he started spitting it out and I tried several other types of food (bloodworms and the like). Eventually I went back to this product and he is a happy as ever and I think his fins are actually brighter. I use this as his main diet with other foods as a special addition and he's doing great. Buy the Large size if you have more than one Betta, you will be happy you did!"

"I have used this product for 2 years, but i am definetly switching because my bettas have all had constipation from this product. It is convinient and all, but it is not very good for the bettas (it has too much ash-see guaranteed analysis). Also, don't feed just one type of food to your betta."

"This is the best betta food I have ever used. I refuse to use any other. The baby pellets are small enough for all bettas. It makes feeding multiple bettas quick and accurate with the small top you snip off with scissors. It also looks very appealing when bent along the indicated lines and stands up by itself. Highly highly recommended."

"I have had my two bettas ( Freddie and Dori) of course named by my kids for about 6 months now, but I couldn't get then to eat much of anything Then my girlfriend told me to try pellets. "Before trying this food, I'd tried everything else in the book from floating flakes to dried bloodworms. However, I got a small sample packet of this at my local PetCo store, and my Betta, Neptune, absolutely loves it! I am so relieved to have found a food that he practically inhales, and one which is good for him. From now on this is the only food I will buy."
