Carefresh Bedding
Date: January 13, 2006
"Excellent bedding for my mice and my rabbits litter pan! Little to no dust and does not leave dust on pets. The litter itself does not smell. I've got many pets in the house, if you didn't see them, you'd never know. The house does not smell like litter o"

Best litter on the market.......
Date: December 10, 2005
"When I picked up my two youngsters from Petco, I bought this litter because it was the litter they were used to. I was concerned that the odor would be a problem since I feed Becky and Pumpkin yogurt and fresh vegetables everyday. To my surprise the litte"

Consistantly good
Date: November 4, 2009
"I have used this bedding for my guinea pigs over the last 3 years and never considered using anything else. It's easy to keep clean and really absorbs any odors. My friends forget we actually have a pet in the house sometimes."

Works great
Date: November 4, 2009
"We have been using this instead of pine shavings for a couple of years now. Line the cage with baking soda, then the "litter" then this bedding. Keeps the cage fresher for longer and really works great. Just watch that there is no moisture in the bedding when you get it.....could cause problems."

Great litter overall
Date: November 2, 2009
"This litter is the best overall due to the low dust, the less messiness and the absorbency. I don't know any litter out there that is better for my chins. I've tried the Kaytee Soft-Sorbent one. Its ok but if you have very active chins expect some outside litter the cage. Sometimes the pellets get caught between their toes. But that's a good alternative if you cant get this one."

pretty good
Date: October 25, 2009
"the bedding absorbs liquids much faster than shredded aspen and controls odor a lot better but it lets off a bit of dust. i like the color ones better...but petco doesnt sell them online in the 60 liter form!"

great deal
Date: October 20, 2009
"I have used this bedding for our 3 guinea pigs for several years now and it is very absorbent and keeps odors to a minimum. Our guinea pigs are in seperate cages so we use alot of this with our weekly changes.
We prefer this over the colored.

It's OK
Date: October 20, 2009
"This bedding is very absorbent and soft on my ferrets feet, but it needs changed very frequently to keep the odor down. It's too expensive to go through that quickly. It also seems to make my babies sneezy."

great product

"This is the only bedding I have ever used for my guinea pig, and it's great! Both the vet and a Petco associate recommended it, both claiming it was the best."

A little dusty but still effective
Date: October 6, 2009
"We've been using this bedding since our vet told us to switch to paper because of our guinea pigs' allergy problems. It's a little dusty when you first put it in the cage, but it does a good job with absorbing odor. And it's a good deal if you purchase this bedding in bulk on the PETCO web site."

No stinky piggies
Date: October 2, 2009
"We love this bedding and it absorbs the smell really well. Its really expensive, but we buy it in bulk and on sale and we save about $90 doing it that way. I'd recommend this product, and if you're an educated pig owner you'll know that its much healthier for your critters. Try lining your cage with newspaper and taping the sheets together for easy cleanup (you just roll the paper when you clean up), then adding a layer of shredded newspaper before you put the carefresh down on top. It makes the carefresh go a lot further.
We love Carefresh!"

The only litter I will buy for Guinea Pigs!
Date: September 13, 2009
"Carefresh may be a bit more expensive but it is about the safest litter for Guinea Pigs. There are no aromatic oils like cedar and pine which damage their lungs. Also, it is soft on their fragile feet. I also like that it is recovered wood pulp so no additional trees are killed to make it."

HAVE USED FOR YEARS!
Date: September 13, 2009
"This a terrific substrate for a variety of animals: I am a keeper of rosy boas (and used to breed them); using this in vivaria for desert type snakes yields excellent results as it affords both traction and burrowing capability. Baby rosy boas in particular need that sense of security to feed well and grow. I have not personally kept sand boas, but I would not be surprised if they did well on Carefresh: sand is heavy, abrasive to snakes and messy to change out. Note: Carefresh is very absorbant & can have a drying effect: it should therefore not be used for pets that require high tropical humidity."
