"Not only does this product have a mounting system that is not well engineered, but it came missing the two bolts that would hold the supports in place on the frame. I had to scramble and find suitable bolts in my own hardware collection."

"My cat loves this, even thought she sinks in the center, I will make a new cover. You do have to screw it onto the window sill, the velcro will not hold her 8 pounds."

"Best window perch. 11 cats and they all love this perch. The frame may brake but if you can find someone who does welding have them make a frame for it and it will last for ever. Just wish Petco would carry replacement covers."

"My cats love the Cat Napper Window Perch which I attached with the provided velcro/support legs. After a few days it fell off the sill. I re-attached it with the provided screws and now it's fine. My heaviest cat is 13 lbs. If you buy this skip the velcro method and attach it with the screws."

"I had this cat napper for Spot but changed it out for the supported one, I noticed she didnt use it as much so I went back to the hammock style, now shes back it all the time, excellent product"

"I liked the seat except I don't care for the velcro you have to attach it to the window seal with. It seems to hold it in place well but to remove it I know its gonna take off the paint, BUT.........my cat loves it so thats all that matters."

"My Priscilla sat and watched me assemble this product for her. She is always curious. I bought it a year ago to place in my front window so she could watch and wait for me to come into the driveway. She was very careful for a week or so, but really love it. Ended up screwing the screws through the fabric, and the window sill. Thought it was the correct way to assemble it, but the instructions are really not complete, but otherwise, the end result, my Priscilla, my licensed companion animal really loves to jump up on it, and wiggles around to where she is comfortable. She has gotten bigger, so today I bought another one, for a window she always sits on, more activitiy outside with the birds and all.
I really reccommend this product as it really holds up so well with a 20 LB cat, so bought again. She will be very happy!!!"

"I wasn't sure about this for a while, since my kitty wasn't using it and was sleeping anywhere BUT, but after a couple weeks she was cautiously interested, and now she's in it for hours almost every day! She loves the hammock feature, and the fact that she can sit and look out the windows at cars zooming by, or watch me going about my business without having to move an inch!"

"read the positive reviews but disappointed. i bought 3 and after installing two I am still not convinced i installed them properly. i used the screws but still am unsure how the material is supposed to fit while the base is screwed in. Very awkward assembly instructions which definitely could use update. And how do you put the cover on fully once the screws are in place? What i am most disappointed in is that this is not a perch but a HAMMOCK. Thats why there is this large gap in the middle of the perch where there is no support. So really two cats cant really sit on it and look out the window. its for 1 cat to sleep on really and sink in and relax. I thought this would be an extension of the windowsill with enough support so that they can look out the window sitting and ALSO sleep on it. True, i have it for less than a week, so so far this is my review based on 1 week of observation. I just wish there wasnt this big gap in the middle. decent but not perfect. On a more positive note Petco is great and they are very helpful over the phone and in store."

"I've been buying cat nappers for years, my cat's LOVE them. I don't know what they would do without the catnapper. The other perches for windows are nothing in comparison. the ONLY problem is that the plastic frame breaks on them easily. that's a big problem. I have to get a peice of wood and tape it and drill and all this stuff.
but my cat's are worth it."

"Bought the cat napper window perch - my cat was so excited about it I could barely get it up. Not too impressed with the assembly of it. Kind of a pain to put the fleece on the thing- making a hole for the screw etc. But now that it is up, my cat loves it. He spends 85% of his time on it looking out the window. Glad I bought it for him."

"I have four cats and only the one napper. There is always a cat on it. Sometimes my 20+lb. cat and my 10lb. cat get on it together and it holds the weight fine. I would get another one if I had a window that didn't have anything in front of it. It's a little hard to remove the cover to wash it though. But it was a good investment, and the cats love to sit and watch the birds at the feeder outside the window."

"It is a little awkward to install...but completely worth it. From the moment I finished putting it up my cat has been glued to it. When I opened it and saw it really is a hammock, I was skeptical it would hold my 14lb boy...but it does, and he seems completely comfortable. He sits and looks out the window and very often falls asleep on it. Great price too!"

"I have two perches and one 22lb. orange tabby. He really loves sleeping in the sun or watching the world go by. The only thing that upsets me is that replacement covers are no longer available by company that produces the product. I know they make more money on selling a new perch, but all I need is the covers. I am already on my second cover for each and now you cannot purchase them. My negative comments have nothing to do with Petco."

"My 16-pound cat loves to look out the windows, lying on the marble sill which is just about 5 inches deep. Unfortunately his elbow hits right on the edge so I though this seat would help. Unfortunately, the way it's mounted just compounds the problem. Now he has one ridge next to the glass (part of the mount), another ridge where the mount comes to an end, and a third ridge where the "hammock" drops over the edge of the sill. I bought a piece of lucite to insert in the hammock area to make it one firm, flat surface. Much better, but another $17 spent."
