"This thing works great!! I have a huge tank and it would be really hard to clean it any other way, but this is super-easy and even fun to use!! One thing I used to have issues with is attaching it to my sink using the metal adapter, I guess I was screwing it on too hard and then when I tried to take it off it would be really hard to get off and I would cut up my hands taking it off. But it works just as well if you put it on a bit loose, which I soon learned. Another thing I did not realize is that if the suction isn't enough, turn on both hot and cold water for more water flow. But, I called the number for the company when I was having this issue with lack of suction and they explained it to me, then I was able to use it to suck every last inch of water out of my tank before moving!! Great product. Just takes some time to learn to use it right."

"I bought one of these yesterday based on the assistant who actually uses one in the local store. She gave me a demo and based on that I got one.
Took it home and OMG it works fantastic.
I did have to stop about 4 times on 20g tank to fill it up (just flip the switch from suction to fill), no spills, quick easy and you should have seen the dirt it sucked out. My tank is now spotless !"

"This is the best cleaner I have ever used. I got tired of the in and out of the heavy buckets and a spill that went through the livingroom. Though this product is pricey its better than trying to figure out how to use your old school vacuum. Using this is confusing until you read all the instructions and it will be the same thing as turning on and off a faucet.
It has only taken me 5-8 minutes to finish the whole cleaning process with no mess!
The only hard thing is figuring out if the adapter fits in your faucet."

"WIth two tanks to clean out, this makes it ten times easier to do that that anything else. I just attach it to my kitchen sink and all you really need to do is move it around... The hose does everything you need. Time is cut in half from the old bucket/siphon method..."

"I bought this product a couple of months ago and I have to say it was soooo worth it! I have a 59 gal. aquarium that I used to dred cleaning and now I am able to easily clean and make water changes regularly. I actully like to clean my tank now. "I love Petco.com. I always find the best prices here.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my python purchase. After cutting my hands trying to get several faucets loose, I was finally able to remove the washer from a bathroom faucet. I do recommend trying to remove the washers on your faucets prior to purchasing this product (to make sure you can!). This was not my disappointment with the Python, however. I was disappointed with the lack of suction. I've got african cichlids in a 55 gallon, and the Pyhthon just didn't have enough power to really suck up the dirt. It's great for refilling, but I think I'll go back to the bucket method for ensuring a clean, debris free tank."

"To be honest, I can't get this product to work. I've tried it on 2 of the sinks in my home and it doesn't come close to fitting. The so called adapters have torn up my fingers trying to attach them to my sinks. Now I'll probably have to buy a universal adapter...which MAY fit but the look from the website is not promising. When I try to attach it to one of my sinks, the drain faces upwards is clearly unhelpful. I'm VERY disappointed. The annoyance I've faced thus far in attempting to use this product is substantially more than the old "bucket & siphon" method. NOTHING is worse than an undelivered expectation. Perhaps its because I don't have a utility sink...I would just be aware of the more than "rare" possibility that the adapters will not work on your sink...so this may not be a product you can use right when you receive it...you may have to then take the time to either order the additional part or go to the store to get it..."

"I have used the siphon for many years and I can assure you that I would have abandoned my fishtank many years ago if I didn't have this product! In fact, this product has enabled me to graduate to a larger tank.
It enables me to perform cleaning duties with minimal time and prevents water spillage throughout the house that would occur if I was cleaning the tank manually.
The only drawback to this equipment is that I have never figured out how to completely dry the hose and prevent algae buildup. (I currently have two 25 foot sections and will shortly add another 25 feet [due to remodeling and changing where my laundry tub is located]). The buildup hasn't impacted the ability of the product to suction, nor has it appeared to affect the health of my fish. To the best of my knowledge, it is simply unsightly!
When I added the second section of 25 feet, it did not seem to impact the suction capability.
There are only three warnings... If you have chlorinated water, I'm not sure how you'd be able to use this product to refill the tank from the tap. But, I'm sure there must be a solution to this. Second, it's so easy to use that I have a habit of walking away from the tank and getting distracted during refills. I've had a couple of minor floods. Third, there is no "trap" to prevent fish from getting suctioned up. You'll need to be careful especially with small fish and bottom feeding fish. Though usually, my fish go to the opposite side of the tank from the product, I do have some who hover around and try to eat the pieces of materials being suctioned up. Generally, my fish are 3" minimum. I've had to be careful even with this size. Overall, I highly recommend this product."

"I have used the Python since I first became aware of it while working at SuperPetz Warehouse in Pennsylvania. It is what I used to clean the tanks at the store and finding the ease and comfortability of use I bought one for my home aquariums. I have not used any other brand or system since. I would tell everyone I know that keeps fish to get one it is well worth the price!"

"I just received my cleaner and immediately began using it. It took a second to read through the directions to figure it out exactly but it really wasnt difficult at all.
Once you figure it out ( Like I said, very easy) it was a BREEZE to clean the gravel rocks. I then filled up the tank again JUST as easily and with NO mess and NO running back and forthe to the tub or sink with buckets. You just simply turn a switch.
If you have a fish tank or are thinking of getting one ( especially a larger sized one -over 20 gallons or so) then this things is a MUST have. TRUST me you will thank me..
The hose and connector pieces are also durable and well made.. it isnt a cheapy made product. Buy the tank, the fish and your NEXT purchase should be THIS!."

"I have two turtles and changing the tank water has always been so hard. This product has made the entire process easier and much cleaner. The only thing is that getting it started can be hard and sometimes the faucet side gets disconnected and falls off. Otherwise, I am totally in love with this product. I'd definitely buy it again."

"This product if definitely a good thing to have. We have a 120 gallon tank so being able to leave the hose in the tank and fill it up is awesome!!! I gave it 4 out of 5 because the only drawback for us is that handle part is short so our whole arm goes into the tank...I guess we should buy the longer attachment!!!Overall I would recommend this to people with any kind of fish tank."
