Cats favorite
Date: July 26, 2009
"I have been feeding MaxCat for the past 18 years of my older cats life and 12 years of my younger ones life. They prefer the pieces of cat food rather than the 'mush' and yes, it doesn't smell as bad as the other brands. I open 2 cans and divide them 1/2 & 1/2 in 2 bowls and since they are fussy they go from one to the other....they eat better than I do.
When Nutro took this product off the market for a while, my cats stopped eating and I tried every brand and flavor but nothing appealed to them. Eventually they ate other foods but they were very happy when Nutro put the Max Cat back on the shelves. I buy cases of 8 different flavors I do hope that Nutro would keep the price of the cans stable....they just went up 10 cents a 3 oz. can.

Juicy food - less smelly
Date: January 21, 2009
"I selected this food since my cat drinks so little water; my vet recommended canned food for the water content. The Nutro foods have a lot of gravy so they easily shake out of the can - no need for utinsils...and they don't smell as bad as most canned foods!"

Won't buy anything else
Date: November 11, 2008
"When we first got our kitty he wouldn't eat any solid food. My husband and I went out and bought one can/package of everything we could find and this was the only one that he would eat. Plus, in the book "Kittens for Dummies" it is one of the only 3 brands listed/recommended. While our cat doesn't like all of the flavors, he isn't a beef & egg skillet kind of guy, the stews and bisques he can't get enough of."

Terrible
Date: October 13, 2008
"Since this cat food was on sale, I thought I'd give it a try. What a big mistate and waste of money. With cat food getting more expensive then what I eat, I can't afford these kind of mistakes. I thought this food was misrepresented, because nothing indicated that it was big hard bits with thick gluey gravy. My 3 cats wanted nothing to do with it. In-fact I have a male cat that doesn't like dried food, but when I gave him this junk he decided dried food wasn't that bad after all. At least he preferred it over this canned food. I can't even get stray cats to eat it. The flavors seem to be about the same. I couldn't tell the fish from the Chicken, Beef or Lamb."
