I have been in the hobby since 1990-back before we had so much cool stuff to buy. Bought my first Magnum then. It came with one of these. I never used it.
Starting over a few months ago, after a fish keeping hiatus, I picked up a used Magnum 330 from 1987 and put one of these in. I wanted to try to avoid using carbon. Man-two days, and the water is crystal clear. No more green tint-nothing. And no adverse effects. I bought another one so I could clean one, and use another. I'll never go back.

I've had aquariums for many years and this is the best filter I have ever used. I use the polishing filter all the time, I just interchange them weekly. I have an underground filter system as well. Using this filter all the time keeps the aquarium crystal clear.
I would recommend this to a friend!
