Worst toy ever!

"My 13 month old Labrador chewed the original Kong to pieces in 30 minutes flat. We returned it and got the Extreme Kong, which took him only 20 minutes to tear up. He's not normally a chewer or a destructive pup, and will often keep stuffed animals for months without destroying them. Our female lab, same age, had no interest in the toy at all. I would not recommend this toy to anybody!"

"This is the only toy that my 5 mth old german shephard puppy did not destroy. She is a chewer!! She chews everything from her blankets to tennis balls. If anyone has a dog that destroys their toys like I do, this toy is WONDERFUL!!!! Highly Recommended!!!"

"this is one of the best toys ever but is kinda not good to have if you have more then 1 dog, but thats my opinion. because my lab/border collie and pug growl at each other when they come in about 1 foot of each other when there chewing on the kong toy. other then that i think it is the best toy ever"

"I have a lab. This toy was good when he was a puppy. Once his adult teeth grew in, he tore it to pieces rather quickly. I bought him a new one now, he tore it apart in 15 minutes. BUT, it lasted 15 more minutes than other toys i bought."

"This is a great purchase, when I have to put my dog in his kennel I take is Kong toy and put penut butter and some of his dog food in it and he is in heaven. It works well as a toy too. It is a multi-task toy and it gives my dog something to do."

"These Kongs are great for my Dalmatian. He's not a chewer, but he does love to exercise his jaws. He carries his Kong around in his mouth and just exercises his jaws as though it were chewing gum. He also loves them filled with a little peanut butter and a favorite treat. My only complaint is that where the rubber is thinner (where the "rings" are), it splits there fairly easily so we go through Kongs rather quickly."

"My dog loves to fetch and really enjoys his Kong toy. It is great exercise for him to chase it because it bounces all over the place due to its unusual shape, and he is determined to get it. It is also very durable and I haven't had any issues with him chewing pieces off of it."

"This is the only, the ONLY thing, that my German Shepherd has not been able to chip at, rip apart or break. I have the extra large and the large ones, and they're great. If you want, sometimes I put peanut butter in them and put the dog outside with it. It keeps them occupied, and you can actually just wash these things out in the washing machine if you don't want to put them in your dishwasher.I would highly recommend this to anybody with a dog that likes to chew."

"I LOVE this product! it stands up to even the heaviest of chewers (my dog eats and distroys everthing she can get ahold of). My dog loves it when i put treats in the kong or put peanutbutter in it. it bounces, you can play fetch. All in all a great toy."

I was VERY skeptical about this toy. I bought it thinking that this toy wouldn't last an hour. Blue Berry, our one year old Golden Retriever, has played with this toy until she was exhausted. The Kong is still in tact and after a brief nap, Blue is back testing her new toy. Thanks Petco for the fast shipping and the samples in the box!! Thanks Kong for making the best toy ever!

"I finally updated my dog to an adult dog kong instead of his puppy kong he'd had for almost 2 years (not a powerful chewer, DO NOT let your adult dog have a puppy kong if (s)he is a powerful chewer since pieces can break off of the softer rubber). He loves his new adult kong. It bounces higher and is more challenging for him to get the stuffing out of it. If I need to keep him entertained for a longer period of time (i.e. spring cleaning day) I pack it with a little bit of bread and peanut butter (or cheese) on the very end and it takes him a long time to get it out. He figured out that with things like dog biscuits or the kong shaped treats, if he drops it on a hard tile floor the stuffing will instantly fall out...."

"The Kong toy is absolutly my dog's favorite toy. It's pretty incredible, and my dog adores it. From putting dog treats to frozen peanut butter inside of it, you can do ANYTHING with this fantastic product.
They are really sturdy and durable, too! We've had the same one for about 6 years and it's still in great shape! It can be a chew toy AND it can bounce like a tennis ball! My parents and I will always go to the park and we're always bringing along our Kong. It's always fun to watch it bounce around in crazy directions because of it's interesting shape!
The Kong is truly the king of all dog toys."

"Fill it with various size treats -- keeps em busy for a while, and exercises their minds. Great invention, very tough and resilient. Mix healthy treats with decadent treats to get them to eat healthy. My doggie loves it."
