"Although a lot of dog toys SAY they are indestructible, my black Lab has managed to demolish every single one -- except the Kong -- within a few hours. His Kong has lasted for years. If your dog has iron jaws, get him or her a Kong. Fill it with treats for extra chewing satisfaction."

"We have had a kong for years. It's gone through 4 puppyhoods, being burried in the backyard for months, multiple dishwashings, and 2 very large chewing dogs. This thing is durable.
My only complaint would be that without treats inside, my dogs pretty much ignore it. However, if I freeze a liquid inside I can get up to half an hour of peace!"

"My chocolate Lab mix LOVES this toy. She will play with it for hours, tossing it around trying to get the treat out. I just fill it with a small milk bone biscuit and it works just fine. This is by far her favorite toy. However, my husband's lab just can't quite figure this toy out. I think it depends on the dog."

"I just got this toy for my puppy Shih Tzu and he just loves it and have not been able to put it down for the past hour and a half. I think I have come upon the best toy to keep this little energetic puppy busy. I put one of the treats in it and he has really gone crazy to try to get it."

"Can fill it with anything. Best idea: Plug the bottom with a piece of dogfood and peanut butter then fill the kong with dog food, add some water (not too much) and top with peanut butter and a few more bits of kibble. Freeze it. I feed my puppy this way. Keeps him busy, stimulates him and keeps him from gulping his food. The bigger Kongs can hold 1 or more cups of food. Pass the word."

"When I brought home my cock-a-poo, he always barked when put in the kennel. I bought a Kong and put peanut butter in it and he LOVES it! Even when nothing is in there he will carry it outside and around the house. It's also great to put peanut butter in it and then put in the frezer!"

"I have a golden/lab mix and he's a really big boy, he weighs in at 150 lbs and he's not fat, just pretty large for a retriever. At any rate, we all know how much retriever's love to chew and he has never worn out a Kong, by the time they start to wear at one end he ends up losing it in the woods, I'd say the avg. lifetime of a Kong with us is around a year or so before he loses it, and I think it would last nearly 2 years before falling to pieces which is great for him. Also great to stick treats in to keep him occupied when he really needs to do something and I can't take him out. We've tried lots of toys and none are as fun or as durable for us as the Kong! It's definitely worth a try for any chewer."

"This toy gives one of my dogs hours of enjoyment. My golden retriever plays with it and chews on it like described in the description without destroying it. However I had to graduate to the black one for my lab mix puppy because she tore the red large one to shreds. So I purchased the black large one and she tore that one to shreds within two days. I am at my wits end because I know that she has the desire to chew but unfortunately the toy that was described as indestructible really was able to be destroyed by a one year old pup. For normal dogs it is awesome."

"I was so exited to get this product but it was a huge let down. My dog does not play with it at all. She gets the stuff out and doesn't even look at it. It was pretty expensive too. I regret getting it. If your dog likes toys he might like this but if your dog is not into toys as much do NOT get it. I was very disappointed I though My baby would like it."

"My 13 month old Labrador chewed the original Kong to pieces in 30 minutes flat. We returned it and got the Extreme Kong, which took him only 20 minutes to tear up. He's not normally a chewer or a destructive pup, and will often keep stuffed animals for months without destroying them. Our female lab, same age, had no interest in the toy at all. I would not recommend this toy to anybody!"
