Great for traveling with guinea pigs!
Date: May 16, 2006
"I have a blue one with a soild top, unlike the one pictured. (I purchased mine in a pet store.) If you are traveling with your pet on the airlines, this is the carrier to buy! Meets airline in cabin requirements and measurments.( Warning: was told I couldn't use this for under the plane.) Even for jets! A well known airline lets me use this everytime I travel with my guinea pig. (in cabin.) Great for cars as well! I never worry when I use this carrier. He is safe from other animals because the holes are narrow, and it is hard enough so that even if someone "kicked" it, he would not be hurt. It is made of hard and durable plastic. What I love most of all about this product, is that it is big enough for him to "live" in comfortably (weeks at a time) at the hotel. The water bottel spout fits right into one of the holes, and then I just tie the bottle to something tall. He is set! Love this product! This product has lasted about 6 flights now (and still sturdy). If you don't load it down with too much bedding it is fairly light to carry through the airports. Cheap, but well made! This was a great investment!"

In cabin, in the car and on vacation!
Date: February 19, 2009
"I originally bought this product to use for vet visits and to take my lovebird on a flight from San Diego to Syracuse. The only problem all flight was a TSA person sticking his finger in there AFTER I warned him that the bird DID bite.
It's easy to clean after we're finished using it (I stick it in the shower and then air dry!)and is great for long weekend trips as containment for one or two birds. It wasn't too hard to keep clean at the hotel when we had to evacuate. It's durable and with sand perches and screw on feed cups stays clean and dry.
It is also the "Vet container" and the "hospital cage". It rides in the front seat with the seatbelt looped through the top handle... and also fits in the floor space in a Saturn. It kept my birds safe when I got rear-ended. There was food and water everywhere, but the officer was impressed that they were contained and safe.
I've had mine since 1999."

Good for Guinea Pigs - even in Cargo
Date: September 17, 2008
"I agree with previous poster - this cage is great for guinea pigs. I put both of mine in here along with a paper bag for them to hide in, put two metal birdcage feeders in for water and food, a bunch of carrots, peppers, tomatoes and other water rich veggies and was able to ship on British Airlines cargo (under the plane). This met the requirement for something like lab animals. Not sure if it meets all cargo requirements, but I was certainly able to bring them along with me on a long-term international job.
I wish it had more than one door on the top so replacing water and food was easier.

Not for Cats
Date: February 4, 2008
"This carrier is too small for a regular cat, but it's great for small pets. I flew three guinea pigs cross country, no problems. Fits under the seat (no matter what the airlines tell you), and the hard sides ease my mind when I start to worry about someone kicking the carrier or something. It can take some creative thinking to attach a water bottle, though."
