"I cannot imagine being without a carrier of this quality and appearance. What a wonderful way to transport any pet you might currently have in your home. It makes traveling on a trip or to the vet. such an easy project and they feel safe and secure and reassured, no matter what circumstances you are presenting. Please, know how valuable these are to all pet owners. Very much valued and appreciated."

"I bought two of these to get my cats to the States from Japan where we were living. I specifically bought this item because of the size and because it was "airline approved." It wasn't until we got to the airport that we learned there needs to be ventilation on four sides of the cage and this case only has it on three (the front and the two sides). At the check-in counter we had to get both of our cats out of the carriers and the airline employee had to drill ten holes into the back of each cage so there was four-sided ventilation. Had I known I would have had to ruin the appearance of the cage (and put my cats through the stress of getting out of their cozy beds), I would have kept shopping until I found a different one since the majority of the flights my cats will be on will be international. Keep this in mind if you are going to be taking your pet on an international flight!"

"I've been using Delux Vari Kennels for my cats and dogs over the past 17 years. Got my first one at the airport, for my cat, for the flight from Pittsburgh to San Diego, back in 1989. . . . Since then, I have taken a dog on several flights, using a Delux Vari Kennel. . . . When buying kennels, I always look for Delux Vari Kennels: The side-mesh design (powder-coated, no rivets) is even better now. The turning latches make me feel confident that the crates will not open accidentally, in transit. . . . I used a Delux Vari Kennel to crate-train a puppy, and afterward, it was her den. . . . My cats like to nap in the dark-colored, cave-like Vari kennels. The perimeter "channel" makes a convenient catnip receptacle, so they can roll in the catnip, and it stays in the den. These kennels have been handy to have around."

Flying with your pet??

"If you are flying, and placing your pet in the baggage section of the plane (cargo), then you'd be very wise to have a look at the website of the International Airline Transport Association. Under "What we do" see the section on cargo (live animals) and you will find requirements that the pet's container must meet! For example, did you know a plastic door on the cage is not acceptable, nor plastic bolts holding the halves of the cage together? These things should be metal! The Deluxe Vari Kennel seems to be of a very high quality when compared to many others, and should meet the airline rules without difficulty!"

My favorite crates

"Both of my dogs love their Varikennels. I've had to fly dogs in cargo, and the fact that these are airline approved is just icing on the cake for me. My "kids" often sleep in their crates with the doors open. I think they consider the crates to be their "bedrooms." If nothing else, they know that the crates belong to them! And both of them kennel easily with a single word."

Housebroken Dog Makes Happy Owner

"My dog was the house wetting terror, until I heard about crate training. After just a couple of weeks, and proper training, she was the best housebroken dog ever. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has a young puppy or has adopted an older dog who is not yet housebroken. "

"We had a kennel that was 8 years old and was a lot cheaper than this model but it had a rusty door and the screws that held the 2 halves together had rusted and we were missing some of the screws. I like this one because the door is coated and wont rust. There are no screws to keep track of when assembling."
