A life saver

"We have 2 filter systems in our 55 gallon tank, 1 (tetra whisper) under gravel and this little one on top. We had our main system (whisper) go out and this little one picked up the slack and maintained it for a few days. We have had this one for about 4 months and are very happy with it still. Im not sure how it would do alone but it is a GREAT back up plan."

"I've had my Zoo Med in tank turtle filter for over a year now...when i first got it i had a red eared slider..about 5"..in a 20 gal tank..and now i have a 29 gal tank and all i have are fish..most small gold fish..and this filter is really wonderful...with my fish i only have to clean the filter about once a week to once every two weeks...i would and have recommended this filter to my friends.."

"I just got a red eared slider yesterday for my birthday because it was my birthday(of course). i got the wrong filter, so i had to return it the next day, and that was when i got this filter. my turtles tank was filthy in the morning, and when i got it set up, after an hour, my tank was crystal clear!"

"My very old Red Eared Slider turtle has had serious problems with skin sloughing, and it has become near impossible to keep the water clean. I have used numerous filter before, and I was skeptical at first of this product because of its small size. However, this filter is the best I have used and cleaned up my tank immediately. Woo hoo!"

"If used properly its not that bad at all, not too bad and not that good. Best for 1 turtle, or even a small amphibian tank not exceeding 15-20 Gallons of water. There are much better filters."

It's a Swirlpool, No Filter Included

"If I could give this product a 1/2 Paw it would not be accurate! It didn't filter much of anything in either the 5 gallon or 10 gallon tank with 1 little RES (1.5" shell) and a few river rocks in it. All this product seem to do was swirl the water around. More of a turtle swirlpool than a filter!
Disappointed with this ZOO MED product totally!"

"When I forst got this filter it was great. But after about 3 months, my turtles tank would not stay clean, and Iwas cleaning the filter all the time.

"When I first purchased this filter it worked surprisingly good. I was well satisfied. BUT, after a few months went by this filter did not work as well as it used to. I noticed a big change in its performance and could see that the filter did not work to the best of it's ability. I saw myself cleaning the turtle tank more often."

"This filter has no power at all. My tank gets very dirty very quickly! I suggest the Tetra Whisper In-Tank Filter. This one works very good keeping the debris out!"
