"These are great! I was doubtfull when purchasing my first 80+ Vittles Vault, but now I'm buying my second (not a replacement, an addition).
Everything about these containers is wonderfully designed and crafted. They ARE ant-proof (in my experience). The lids seal wonderfully. I have ridiculously ingenuitive ants, stray cats, and even coyotes and have not had the container 'broken into' by anything. I'm not sure if the coyotes have ever come into the area with the container as it is fenced.
I use a mix of Nitro herring and Blue Buffalo fish dry dog foods. This container will hold roughly 75 lbs of this food. That is a little dissapointing, but that is the only thing that I don't love about them.
The handles are well designed, making it as easy as possible to move 75 lbs of dog food.
The container has been thrown into the fence by high winds (when almost empty) and did not brake.
They ARE definately rainproof. (Assuming the lid is properly tightened)
I am getting another because my dogs eat 40 lbs of food a week and getting the 30 lb bags, I can only put 60 lbs of food in this container (I don't want a half bag laying around). With 2, I should be able to store 150 lbs, much more appropriate.
In short, I highly reccomend the Vittles Vault pet food container. The one I already own has greatly exceeded my expectations."

YES! IT is airtight!

"I have three of these. One for cat food, dog food and cat litter. 100% happy with them. They are easy to clean and they are airtight! The food stays fresh and you can't smell it. I have dropped them, taken them to my dogs doggy daycare and its still in perfect condition after 3-4 years."
