"My chinchilla didn't know what to think of it the first couple of days, He would sit in it and go potty in it. When he finally figured it out he wouldn't stop using it. He would run so fast in it I thought the wheel was going to come off of his cage!"

"I ordered two 12" wheels, because my rats made so much noise in their old wheels. They are much quieter than the old ones, but not silent by all means. The picture shows blue wheels, but I received a green one and a purple one. So if color is an issue make sure you ask before ordering. So far my rats love them as much as the old ones and run all night long. I have found that cleaning them is a little more difficult and their poo runs in the wheel with them instead of falling out."

"My rat does not like this wheel so we don't have a chance to try it. I guess the width of footing area is too narrow for her. We bought another cheaper wiring exercise wheel (with wider footing) and she used it a lot!"

"The wheel is pretty silent like it says. I have this hung to a wire cage for 2 adult male rats. They love it and use it daily. I like that it attaches to the cage wall and therefore does not take up any floor space! Plus it's safe for my rats and fun too!"

"I tried using this wheel free-standing for my chinchillas, but it tipped over on them. Fastened to the side of the cage makes a world of difference. Lizzy and Lucy run and run some more."

"These wheels are great! Love the fact that they are solid (better for little paws and tails). They are indeed fairly quiet. My only qualm would be the labels on the packaging, which are usually recommended too small, e.g. the 6" wheel is labeled for a dwarf hamster, when really, a Campbell's is going to need an 8" to avoid bending of the spine while running. Fine product, overall, though."

"My gerbils are kept in a 20 gallon aquarium tank so the only problem with this wheel was the constant loud tapping of the metal stand on the glass of the tank, putting litter underneath didnt help because it wouldnt stay there. But i did cut a towel in half and put it underneath since i figured they would chew the tape and it coudl hurt them. but i just had the most silent night, and they still got their exercise, we are both happy-buy this product, use a towel...and they come in the prettiest colors! I have a berry and a purple one!!"

"The Silent Wheel is used here at Hedgie Haven in about 87% of our hedgehog cages. They are easy to clean! Mount to cage sides and for our case easy to drill holes for in the Custom Totes we have. The don't fall over like some wheels if mounted. They are safe for our little hedgehog feet. With hour of running we needed this very quite wheel that works for even the hefty boys!"

"I have purchased two of these wheels. I have 5 chinchillas, 2 males and 3 females. They love it. They would spend all day running if I would let them. This wheel lasted about a year and it was worth it. It's the most quiet wheel I have found. Most wheels the I have bought in the past clank and rattle and squeak and in the middle of the night cause me to make trips to their cages to remove them. It's silent. The only reason why I am replacing the wheels is that my chinchillas seem to like to chew on the yellow center screws that hold the wheel on the axle. Overall it's a great product. My chinchillas like it so much that they shove each other out of the wheel just to get their turn. I will be purchasing two more."

"LISTEN TO WHAT EVERYONE ELSE IS SAYING! I didn't believe it when people said that the little axle that holds the wheel on breaks, but sure enough, it did. The small yellow part that hold the wheel on to the metal frame is VERY small and very weak. After just 3 weeks of use, the weight of the hamster would rock and roll the wheel back and forth, bending and warping the yellow plastic part. Just yesterday it broke clean off. The wheel is silent, but like everyone else said, it easily breaks. I returned the wheel today and right when i walked up to the counter, the cashier said, "little yellow part break?" SHE KNEW BEFORE I WALKED UP TO THE COUNTER THAT IT BROKE! She said that it has happened to nearly every person who bought this wheel. Please take my advice, don't buy it."

"Sofar, this has been a good purchase. I got this wheel for my hedgehog Mimzy 3 weeks ago and she loves it. The first night I put it in her cage we had a slight problem. While I was sleeping, I heard a crash and woke up...the piece that holds the wheel on came undone and the wheel had fallen off. Mimzy was fine and after I put it back on and tightened it again, we had no more problems. The downside to this wheel is that if the pet makes a mess in the wheel, which most pets do, it stays in the wheel, and they run in it. The wheel is easy to clean which is a good thing since I have to clean it atleast once a day =D This wheel is not however "silent" it is quieter than any that I have found sofar, but by no means slient. I'm hoping that this wheel will last for a while, but if it doesn't, I would consider buying another. Overall, a good buy."

"I love this wheel! Its awesome. I own a medium one for my Southern Flying Squirrel. And had a large one for my Hedgehog. My squirrel uses it about 7 hours each night. i have had it for about a yr now. its easy to clean easy to put on and take off. My hedgehog used it less and didnt go nearly as fast. but he used it about an hour or 2 a night. His wheel is a 12 inch and i had it for about 2 yrs. again easy to clean and attach."

"I bought this wheel thinking my chinchilla would like it because I thought she needed exersise but she doesnt even touch it. it always has feces on it though, the ones that fall in it when she jumps on the wood things all around the cage. i have never once seen her use it, i thinkshe is scared of it or something, or maybe she isnt the wheel running type."

"I have purchased 4 of these wheels in the past for my Chinchilla, however, NOT because I was so happy with the product, but...with hopes that the NEXT ONE would last longer than the one I purchased prior! I COULD HAVE been MUCH happier, had the "plastic pieces" that attach the center of the wheel to the center of the stand NOT BROKE or CRACKED!! It IS TRUE that the wheel is VERY quiet, providing you have a sturdy and stable cage to set it in, or attach it to...but my Chinchilla is very active on his wheel and goes VERY FAST on it, causing the central plastic pieces to break and crack, only DAYS after I have purchased the wheel! I so wish "The Inventor" of this "Silent Spinner" could figure out some metal or steel pieces for the center of the wheel (to replace the plastic pieces) so it would not break and fall apart!! Having read other reviews on this product, I can also say my Chinchilla has been trapped a time, or two, under the wheel, when he has been running in it and then it breaks apart and falls to the floor of his cage. This is so frustrating when it happens because I love the wheel (as it IS quiet and goes SO fast) and so does my little guy, "Chin" - then, when it's broke, he doesn't have a wheel to run on and I truly think he's depressed!!! (Poor thing!) - I have tried many times to figure out a solution to this problem. I now have 4 wheels, but "wheels" ONLY! Nothing to attach the wheels with, to the stand or the cage, to make it work. Bummer!! (if your pet is a very small mouse and doesn't run too fast, this wheel might last)!"
