Excellent!
Date: April 22, 2008
"This product is THE best ever. It made a wierd noise after a while, but I tightened the base and it immediately stopped. My hamster loves it; all the other wheels were either WAY too noisey(the wheel that came with the cage) or WAY too small(superpet comfort wheel). This isn't noisey OR small. HamBob loves it to death. :)"

It is the best inside of the cage wheel
Date: April 9, 2008
"This is a very good product. It is small, so it does not take up much room in your cage. The solid floor protects your pet's feet. It is the perfect size for dwarf hamsters and mice. It is easy two clean and comes in a lot of colors. The only problem with it is that it does not hook onto cages very well, but it can just stand."

Not the best......
Date: April 5, 2008
"I have two hamsters and at the pet store the lady said that they would both be able to fit in their together and run, but they both fight over who gets to go in there so now i have to buy another one, but not the "silent spinner" because it broke!!!!!! I have to screw something back into it's place, maybe i just got a broken one, but if you only have one hamster, then you should get it, but if you have to, don't"

Good wheel, kinda small
Date: March 7, 2008
"This brand of wheel is great and I would recommend it to anyone but the problem we are having is he's to big for this size and the large wheel is WAY to big for the cage. We have gone thru two of these wheels in 3 months because our teddy bear hamster is to big for it and it breaks the plastic. I think if you want a good silent wheel, because we don't have any problems with noise, this is a good one to get but don't be surprised if your hamster outgrows it soon!"

What were they thinking?
Date: January 28, 2008
"I bought this product for my rat. The larger wheel is too big and this wheel is too small. She never even touched it. It is completely silent while spinning and I only know this because I SPUN IT. They need to make a size that is in between this one and the larger one."

good, quiet, a few drawbacks
Date: January 17, 2008
"This is a good wheel, but it's not my favorite. I prefer Wodent Wheels - much safer - and have always used them with my hamsters and my rats. However, I now have gerbils, and the Silent Spinner is the only plastic wheel they won't chew.
This wheel really is virtually silent, and it goes very fast, which they love. They do occasionally slip out of it, though, or even do an unintentional flip out of it, which is dangerous but no more so than all the metal wheels. One of my girls is a crazy fast wheel junkie, so as everybody else says, the yellow connector does break. I have to replace them about every 4-5 months. But that's better than the couple weeks it would take them to chew up any other plastic wheel.
I do wish they made a size between the 6.5" and the 12". 12" is far too big, but full-grown female gerbils *only just* fit in the 6.5" without arching their backs. I'd prefer to have an 8" or 9" for them.
Overall, a good, quiet, reasonably safe choice, with a few drawbacks."

Nice Product
Date: December 17, 2007
"I bought this for my dwarf hamster Darwin. When I first put it in his cage, he sat in it and looked at me, then after a few minutes he figured out what it was for. He apparently didn't like where I put it and pushed it to a new location. He spends hours running in it. The wheel makes no noise at all, which is great because my hamster is in my bedroom, and it doesn't keep me up at night. :)"

YELLOW CONNECTOR BREAKS
Date: September 26, 2007
"I bought a mini wheel for my Chinese Dwarf Hamsters, and it is very popular with them. I then purchased a medium wheel for my gerbils, and it was very popular with them also, at least until they broke it! Within a couple of weeks!
I seems that the yellow connector in the medium wheel is the same as in the mini wheel. The yellow connector on the medium wheel needs to be made stronger for the heavier animals, or for animals that "hop" when they run, such as Gerbils or Rats.
If Pets International Ltd can correct this problem, I'll probably buy another one, unless I find one similar but stronger. I like the idea, but the product needs research."

Listen to the silence
Date: June 29, 2007
"The wheel I had made so much noise it could be heard in every room, especially at night. While I was searching petco for supplies for my cute gerbils. I found the silent spinner totally by accident. Went out the next day to pick it up, attached it to the cage. And oh yea! SILENCE! I say if you have a real loud wheel try it, it works!"

Silent but Too Small
Date: June 17, 2007
"After getting my (very young) mouse, I purchased a mini Silent Spinner. She loved it, and I appreciated its durability and the fact that it was nearly silent and easy to clean. However, she's matured into a very large mouse (not so much fat as just physically big). The mini wheel's no longer comfortable for her, and the regular wheel's a bit too tall for her current cage setup, so I'm looking into other options. If you're considering a Silent Spinner, go for the regular instead of the mini! If there were another size in between, I would've given the product five stars instead of four. As it is, the size choices aren't particularly accommodating and the mini size is unnecessarily tiny."

wheel
Date: March 25, 2007
"i LOVE this wheel!! it is totally silent!! the only bad parts are that : 1) i can hear my hamster's nails clicking on it when she runs 2) it shakes the wire cage and is kind of noisy and 3) somehow, it's started smelling REALLY BAD!! but i can just clean it, so that's not too bad. but my hamster really does love it!! and i would recommend this to evERYONE!!"

Silent Spinner Wheel
Date: March 20, 2007
"This is a very quiet wheel... however, the 6.5'' size seems to be too small for a reg. hamster (unless mine is very large!). I thought it'd be a good idea, but my hamster has to arch her back to fit in it. I have a comfort wheel (metal w/ a grid) and that was working wheel, but eventually the rubbery stuff wears off on the axle and then it's just metal moving on metal.. very squeaky. Have yet to find a perfect wheel!"

Breaks easily
Date: December 12, 2006
"The wheel is quiet and attractive looking, and my hamster loved it. It was a lot of fun to watch him run on his wheel. However, it broke in under a month. UNDER A MONTH. The yellow piece that holds it all together snapped. I was going to get another one, but instead I'm now using a hamster ball + stand in his cage, which works perfectly and is very quiet and a lot cheaper too! Too bad petco doesn't sell stands with their hamster balls. It's not worth it for the price."

Silent Wheel
Date: November 28, 2006
"I think this wheel is great. It is silent, but the main problem is that it breaks on the yellow piece and can not be fixed. I have a dwarf hamster and have the meduim size wheel so weight is not a issue. My friend has three hamsters and all of her wheels broke too. We both replaced them with a new silent wheel and it broke again. I wish the manufacture could improve that part of the wheel. Other than that, I love the wheel. I am going to purchase a different kind of wheel. Hope that this review is useful."

Good for dwarves, bad for gerbils
Date: November 9, 2006
"I had two 6.5" versions of these wheels for my 4 dwarf hamsters and they loved them. If they did start to make noise, I would put a little veg oil on the spinner part and that would be the end of that. When I was down to my last dwarf, I decided to get some gerbils. They successfully broke my two wheels in a month. Since they hop when they run, the plastic cracked at the 'T' connector. I glued one back together and gave it back to my elderly dwarf since he doesn't run much anymore. Great wheels for dwarves, not so good with gerbils. I had to get them a wire cage wheel, that is the only one that they cannot chew through."
