perfect heater for a small aquarium! Date: January 6, 2009
"I bought this heater on a suggestion from a friend and it's by far one of my most favorite aquarium purchases. I had a 1 gallon filtered tank for my betta but once the cold months came his tank water wasn't staying in the 70's so I needed a heater suitable for a small tank.

This one suction cups to the side or back of the tank and is very low profile. Since I started using it my betta's tank is always between 74-78 degrees, just perfect for my betta!"

awesome little heater Date: December 4, 2008
"I have an approx. 5 gallon tank with a beta. This heater took my tank up roughly 4-5 degrees and now sits right at 80 degrees. He seems much happier in warmer water. This is a great little product and does exactly what it says. Can't beat it for a little over 10 bucks. It's only been a day though so hopefully it will keep it up!!! XD"

Just What I Needed! Date: December 1, 2008
"I have a 1.5 ga tank with a betta. Living in a cold climate the water temp was a little too cool for him. This was just enough to make the difference and raised the water 4 to 5 degrees. Really easy to use and hide in the tank too."

Very gentle heater. Date: November 20, 2008
"I am using this heater under a layer of gravel in a 2-gallon glass bowl with the Penn Plax Small World filter for my betta. My home temperature right now is 72 degrees, and the thermometer is telling me the water is 77 degrees. Just perfect for a betta. I use a plastic coffee lid to loosely cover the bowl at the top, just at a slant as to keep some of the warmth in (and the betta from jumping out). I have found without a lid, the water tends to be 1 or 2 degrees cooler for me. But I also am not using a lamp for the bowl at this time. Very gentle heater; effective, and subtle in a good way."

Perfect Small Heater!! Date: October 17, 2008
"I have the All Glass 2.5 Mini Bow Aquarium set up for my two frogs, Ethel and Ricky. This heater was the answer to me and my frogs' needs! I was able to bury it under the rocks, so only the cord shows, and it raises the temp to the perfect range for my frogs. Fantastic alternative for small tanks. I would highly recommend one for any tank under 5 gallons."

Brilliant Date: July 24, 2006
"This heater is a brilliant, absolutly brilliant. A great innovation for thoose of us that like to keep small tanks. I have one in my 3 gal. tank (containing a Black Persula Clown and a Yellow-tailed Damselfish) and one in a 1 gal. (containing a Dwarf Puffer and a Java Fern). The only reason I don't give it a 5 paw is that it is not ajustable. Here's some more infomation:
In a 2 gal. it increases temp by approx. 5 deg.
In a 5 gal. it increases temp by approx. 4 deg.
It uses 7.5 Watts (important for surge protectors and battery packs)"
