"I've tried SO many different types of bedding for my two 6-month old ratties. Some stuff was too dusty, some wasn't comfortable for them and some did a horrible job controlling odors. These shavings have a nice smell and do a pretty decent job of controlling odors."

"It was a great purchase it absorbed up all of the urine so it did not smell that much. My mouse loved it and was always playing around in it. It was a little bit harder to clean because you had to take handfuls and not all of it would come out."

"We love this bedding for our piggies. We line the bottom of the cage with Super Shavin's, topping it with Carefresh bedding and it creates a thick, soft cage bottom for our two guinea pigs. Super Shavin's absorbs well and smells nice."

"I liked this bedding b/c it masked any smell from the cage, however, it was MESSY! My piggies bounce all day long and the bedding got everywhere!!! It's hard to freshen up the cage b/c the bedding hides areas that need it. Instead you just have to dump the whole tray and change everything. For some that would be okay. I can't stand it. I like to be able to freshen up the cage every day and change it completely once every 5 days or so. It was hard to do that with this bedding."

"This bedding is great! It is very soft and fluffier than other brands. I think it is because it is from leftover wood chips from trees... but the degus love it also. It is odorless and I think it is more absorbant than Carefresh. I will totally stick to this bedding."

"When I first put this bedding in my dwarf hamsters cage, she automaticaly snuggled in it. My hamster Bipi loves this and it is very absorbent. The reason I gave is 4 stars for quality is because the first time I cleaned out her cage with this bedding, there was wood dust all over the bottom! It took me forever to clean it out because it was everyweres and stuck to the bottom like gum. But all i have to do is just deal with that though:( OWELL Overall I love this product and i am sure my Hammy does too."

"my dwarf hamster loves to snuggle in this and it's really easy to use. Yes, aspen can fly out of the cage but since my bin is high on my cage it doesn't fly out. It absorbs waste and helps control odor as well. I have no problems when I use it. "
