"It is too short & small for the cats. Their head sticks out of the hole and the dog treats the cats like a whack a mole. Also when the cat jumps out they jump all the way out and the litter flys. Lastly my cats aren't taking to at all -- they'll use with the lid off but when its on they ignor---unusual because they both love going into enclosed spaces & have taken to other covered litter boxes no problem."

"I bought 2 of these because I recently adopted a rescue Siamese and my other cat was not taking kindly to sharing her litter box! (She "shared" her feelings all over the house including our beds!) I was desperate to find a solution without sacrificing one of the cats--and I think this litterbox is it--although my original cat still doesn't like it. Too bad!"

"I've tried many different litterboxes. From the kind you roll and they clean themselves(ya right) to the the spiral stairs to the giant open ones. This one trumps them all.
I love how solid it is and my cats love the design and privacy. It reduces odors significantly and also significantly reduces the amount of litter that gets on the ground. I love it, won't ever need another one again."

"It was a nightmare with the cats tracking cat litter all over the bathroom and into the hallway and so i went online and found this product. It has reduced the amount of litter all over the floor and in the hallway and my cats dont even mind at all. I have two and they are perfectly happy!"

"This product eliminates most of the cat litter from ever getting on the floor. This makes house cleaning so much easier. My cats used the top entry litter box the first day even though I left their old box next to it. I took the old box away after 2 days as I noticed that they were no longer using the old box, but preferred the new top entry box. I'm glad as my house is much cleaner with less litter tracking!"

"Cats (both) adapted even though they have different personalities and the flow of cat litter out of the bath and into the rest of the house has slowed dramatically. Wish they sold them in the stores! Top traps more litter, shape allows you to put in more places, color makes it fade it and clean up is much better. I have already told several friends but the lack of being able to get in a store is bad."

"The Clevercat litterbox has helped keep the beagle mix puppy out of the litter! It also has cut down on the odor from the litterbox and the actual litter that "spills" out of the box from the cats using it. It isn't perfect though as the dog can just stick it's head in the opening, but usually the waste is further back in the box. SPECIAL NOTE: We have three cats and our oldest has always been picky about the litterbox(ie location, activity going on around, etc) and in the three weeks we've had the Clevercat litterbox, she has NOT used it. Definitely keep your old one around in case you have a cat that won't use this litterbox."

"I read all the reviews, bought it and love it. I recommend you follow instructions as cats do need "training" to get used to it (at least my 3 did). I used a little step on the side to help them adjust while the lid was off because it's so deep. Even if your cats don't like it at first, stick with it, they'll adjust and it's so worth it. It truly solves all problems from "horizontal urinators" to "crazy diggers" to dogs who "snack." It even eliminates 98% of the litter on the floor! I've already told ALL my friends about it. I could be their spokes person!"

"I hate to leave a negative on this one. BUT...while it is a great idea and the litter box is durable, it is not for my big 'kids.' I did as instructed and left the top off for a few days for them to get used to it, then put the lid on. I closed off their other litter boxes in hopes they would use this. No way they would go into that hole. So I suspect for a smaller or a meduim size cat it would work great, just not for bigger or less agile ones. They should make a longer box with a bigger hole for bigger cats."

"I bought this box for my cats (jmostly my tailess manx mix who likes to face the back of her litter box and wets the floor frequently. This box solved that problem. I would not recommend it for a small kitten but would for anyone else. I have cats ranging in age from 1 year to 16 years and they all use the box. It prevents dogs from getting in it too. The only bad thing about this box is it could be longer. I have multiple cats with one being 18 pounds. She does not really like the box and mostly uses the other type. I am planning to replace it with one of these as some of the front opening kind leak betweeen the top and bottom if a cat aims too close to the front. Be sure when you first get this box that you do as instructed and use it with the top off for the first few days."

"i really hoped this box would work for my kitty, but he won't go near it. he'll sometimes back into it like a toilet, but maybe the space is too small for him....SUCH a bummer--i really wanted this to work. Not for my kitty, but maybe yours will take to it more easily:-("

"Howard has always had some litter box problems...sometimes he's too lazy to cover up his messes, and sometimes he would miss the box altogether and I'd come home to a surprise on the floor. This box is AMAZING! There is no more litter on the floor, very little odor, and since he's actually INSIDE the box it's impossible for him to miss his target! This is the best purchase I have made for him in a very long time!"

"I have 4 cats - 3 are indoor/outdoor. 1 stays in all the time. The other 3 come in at night and stay in. So a potty box for all 4 is quite a task. And I have 2 cattle dogs who love what the cats leave in the box.
This cat litter box works great!! The dogs cannot get in to it at all. The one indoor cat switched over to the new box without a problem. I purchased 2 of these to give them a choice at night. The other 3 are either holding it all night or using the litter boxes without a problem. Wish I had found these sooner. Such a simple, effective design - who knew!!"
