"I love this gate. We bought a cheaper one at our old house and it didn't work nearly as well. If you are debating go for this one because the auto-close feature is so nice while carrying a baby or trying to keep the dogs downstairs. :)"

"We bought this gate to keep the new pup contained to the tiled area of our house. It works well, no screws or damage to the doorfacing. However, it is in a high traffic area and after only a few weeks, the latch is broken. For high traffic areas, I wouldn't recommend this gate, but if the traffic flow is limited, it is fantastic. It fits snuggly in place, closes automatically (wakes the sleeping pup though) and doesn't look bad. If I had a little less traffic in my house..it would be the perfect gate."

"I bought my first gate a year ago for my office doorway because I take my 2 dogs to work. They can see when visitors arrive without overwhelming our guests. We're moving to new space soon, so I bought a 2nd gate for the conference room where the dogs will hang-out when I need them to move to another room. The gate is easy to manage and very durable."

Nice Gate, but not for jumpers

"I have an eleven month old Aussie who can jump this gate with ease, even from the slippery kitchen floor. But this is a nice gate because my cats are small enough that they can slide through the sides. The maximum opening is about 2 3/4", so if you have skinny cats and need to let them sqeeze through from room to room this is great. But beware that an extra gate to go above this one is advised if you have a dog that is a jumper. But otherwise is is nice, also in the fact that it reaches in the large opening between my kitchen and living room (with it's extensions it reaches to 61"). The walk though portion of this gate is fairly easy to operate with one hand, although a little awkward with limited grip strength."
