LOVE the 2nd door!
Date: September 25, 2009
"We love this cage!!! Our puppy is "long" but still kinda small, she's 8 months so she is full grown at 24lbs but she never would lay in her cage the long way, she'd go in, turn a 1/4 way around, and flop her long body down the short side of the cage. Her ear would come out the side, her bottom would be curled under, but she always laid in that orientation to the way she entered it. Now, we have this new cage so that the width is the long part & are using the 2nd door on the long side. It's perfect for her!!!! She looks soooo much more comfortable in it & lays in her cage when she doesn't even have to be in it :)"

"WOW!!! what a great deal on such a well made product. We have 2 giant poodles that share this
during their puppy training stage. It has been easy to clean and very functionable to situate around the house with the 2 doors. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a doggy crate.

Great crate
Date: September 19, 2009
"Our 9 month old dog is almost full grown at 67lbs and the "up to 70lb" crate was just too small. This crate is perfect he has room to stretch when he lies down and we think he really likes it."

Great purchase
Date: September 14, 2009
"The directions were a bit rough, but in the end it was very easy to put together. I thought my puppy would hate the crate, but she really loves it and actually goes in there by herself! It's been amazing in helping potty train. I would recommend this product to anyone!"

"It was so easy to put together.
The lower handle on one of the doors takes a while to lock the door with.
And the wierd things is, the same crate cost ten dollars more at the store.
It was cheaper on line to buy.

good value but maybe filmsy
Date: August 19, 2009
"this was a great price - best I could find...however, it doesn't seem very sturdy like the older versions of heavy guage metal - so, I am thinking an overactive puppy or dog could almost get this thing to come apart.....
I know you can't really put any amount of weight on top of it - and you could on our older model we borrowed from a friend.
so far we have had no issues with this crate - but, it is still early!

Great Product at a great price!
Date: August 6, 2009
"My Boxer fits perfectly into this crate. Assembly was quick and easy. Nothing damaged upon arrival. I got this kennel because of the great price it was and the great reviews it had. The divider panel is not right on the plastic base which allows you to put a thin bedding the size of the kennel. I did this and saved money from having to buy a small bed and eventually having to buy a larger one!!!"

Great product! Very practical
Date: July 2, 2009
"I used this crate for housebreaking and it worked like a charm. Divider is great since you can ajust a size of crate to fit your dog. This crate is great for storing snce it folds very easily, but I never really had to put it away since my dog loves laying in it. I just keep the door open all the time and he goes in when he wants to. It is great for traveling too.
Very happy with this purchase!

Bargain price, bargain construction
Date: July 2, 2009
"I have read reviews where items have been shipped damaged or with missing parts and I thought, "unfortunate, but how often could that happen"? However, my crate was shipped to me with bent metal latches, and some of the wire pieces were welded sloppily so that the sides did not sit flush. Luckily we were able to use pliers to fix some of the mistakes. Overall, the crate now works well for my small puppy, but I don't think it would withstand the force of an active large breed."

STRONGLY RECOMMEND
Date: June 16, 2009
"I purchased this crate 2 weeks ago and I couldn't be more pleased. Its extremely durable and to my delight, it was more than I expected. My dog has full view; I put in a comfortable rug for him and its working out fine. No complaints whatsoever. Lastly, there was nothing to assemble. It just unfolded from the box. *****"

Safe & Sound

"This crate is excellent, it's sturdy, easy to clean, safe and roomy. My lab had plenty of space and it was the perfect size for his dog bed. I covered his crate with a sheet on all sides but the door which seemed to help him feel safer. The crate is easy to fold up, easy to carry and travels well."

depends on the dog
Date: June 2, 2009
"This is a nice cage and works well for my relatively calm dog. But a determined dog could easily bend the wire. The wire is a bit thin and the grid spacing is fairly wide. This cage is advertised as "Value Priced."
If you have a dog who wants to break out, then best to get Midwest Lifestages Ultima series of fold and carry crates. Ultima series are made of heavier gauge wire and grid spacing is much closer together. I own one of those cages, too.
For either product line, save the box. I cut the cardboard down to size to place inside the cage under the plastic tray. The plastic tray needs more support than just resting on a few wires on the bottom. The dog's weight will cause the tray to flex excessively (and possibly break) without more support.
All-in-all, this is a nice cage. I like that it has 2 doors. Just remember to factor in dog's habits if considering buying this product. This one might be fine or you might want to step up to the Ultima series (sold by other vendors).
I've dealt with Midwest's customer service for an unrelated issue and it was a very good experience."
