Great CO2 reactor Date: July 21, 2008
"This thing works great for a mini CO2 reactor! Inject the CO2 into the inlet of this filter and it gets distributed very efficiently w/ little mods"

nice product Date: February 28, 2008
"i bought this filter for my three huge fish bowls, (3 gallons each), about 3 month ago, it works great the only thing is that the water current is very strong even in the lowest seting, so i put the filter inside an acrylic cup big enough to room the filter and at the same time small enough to fit in the fish bowl so that way can filter the water without harm my fishies, and works great, my fishies can swim all around the fish bowl and belive it or not the love to swin around the cup that shields the filter. it is beautiful watch them swimming!"

"The current was too strong for my betta in a 5.5 gallon tank even on the lowest setting. However I did take out the sponge to clean it once and there was dirt in there so I know this mini filter doesn't lie."

Perfect for my pico reef tank Date: February 4, 2008
"I purchased this filter for my 2.5 gallon pico reef tank and the water flow it creates is exactly what I was looking for. Its also very compact which is important in a tiny tank. This filter is smaller than the palm of my hand but surprisingly powerful!
/*Filter is in the top right corner of the attached picture./"

Simply Superb Filter! Date: February 4, 2008
"I purchased this for my 2.5 gallon betta and frog bowl. The poor dears had yucky water and an oil slick on the surface from the (frozen) food in just a couple days, despite weekly water changes. This filter has changed their lives for the better! The water stays crystal clear, no more oil slicks and it is no longer a battle to keep their water healthy! The currant is a bit lively for a small bowl, but I just diverted it against a coral decoration, thus sheilding the betta and frog from constant water movement, although I do see the betta playing in the currant. The suction cups attach securely to even the rounded side of the bowl. Just an awsome product! Without it, (and the little heater), I would have had to give up my bowl! I love it! Simply superb! Wouldn't change a thing!
p.s. If you don't use any shelter from the currant in too small of an area, you probably won't like it. Using common sense goes a long way!"

A Glorified Powerhead Date: January 31, 2008
"This is the worst filter I've had yet. I put one in my one gallon Betta tank, and the ammonia level skyrocketed. My poor Betta spent all night swimming franticly to just keep still, nevermind go anywhere. The aeration was almost non-existent, a few tiny bubbles hurtling toward the top. I tried in my two gallon tank, and my mollies where struck stock still. Even they could not swim against it on it's lowest level. This is not a filter, this is a powerhead with a filter sponge attached. Hagen makes many lovely products, but this is not one of them."

Maybe TOO good Date: November 24, 2007
"I bought this filter for a 6 liter mini hex tank, housing a male betta. The filter worked wonders, cleaning up the mess the old one had just blasted back into the tank. However, my poor betta had a REALLY hard time swimming in the powerful current created by this filter! Even on the lowest setting, it's still very powerful in a small tank. I found that removing the short air hose completely made it produce less current but still clean well, so my betta is happy as he's not being blown all over the tank, and I'm happy as the tank is clean."

wow. just wow Date: August 12, 2007
"so i bred some comet goldfish and only ended up keeping one gold fry. he lived in a very small bowl for a while till he to about an inch or inch and a half. thne i moved him into a three gallon herphaven (terrarium but can be used as aquarium) He was doin ok but i had to do very frequent water changes. so i went to petco and saw this filter. thought, 10 bucks, 3 gallon filter, added aeration, i'll go for it. my lil comet loves it! he really anjoys swimming in the current given off by the filter. He will be in this tank until he gets big enough to join my other shubunkins and comets in 120 gallon. afterwards i will use this filter's tank and get a small heater and get some neon tetras."

Love It Date: July 17, 2007
"I have this unit in one of my beta tanks and I must say it works wonders! It keeps the tanks clean and there's no noise coming from the unit. I went out of town and my tank got low on water and the unit stopped picking up water but when I re-filled the tank it started back working after running dry for 3 days!

I would buy this product! About to buy anther one for my other tank."

o.O 10$ surprise Date: June 15, 2007
"Um...yeah, For $10 the filter is ultimate. First i was looking for an external filter, smallest possible, but none. Then i stumbled across this mini filter, and thought hey...$10, didn't expect much from it. Bought it anyways, unpacked it, and was very surprised. The power cord was perfect length, and felt very nice...like a quality product haha.
Put it in the new setup, and was kinda noisy, but fixed that by adjusting the air intake thing.

Overall i am very suprised and happy with the product..."

"i thought that this filtre was absoulitly the best one i have ever bought for my reptile and for some fish tanks. I have a water turtle and it makes the cage water so clean usually you will have to clean it every two days, but when i bought the pump i only have to clean the pumps filter every two weeks and the cage monthly. It is the bomb!!!
