"I rescued a golden with severe skin issues, he had pulled his hair out and chewed open many spots on his coat... after a year on the sweet potato and salmon food he looks like a new dog! I Can't recommend it enough for dogs with allergies! Thanks"

"My dog has severe allergies. I have tried many things. she continually chews on her feet and her hair was falling out. I had her on predizone from the vet but didn't want her to have to be on it forever and it wasn't helping. I asked around and was told to try Natural Balance Sweet Potato and fish Formula. I tried it and took her off the meds and all she got to eat was this wonderful food and the matching treats. Within two months her hair is growing back and she no longer chews at her feet. This is fantastic. I told my vet about it-course it was hard for him to agree as he sells Science Diet allergy and that was one of the many things that I tried that didn't work. Evidently she has a food allergy."

"My Lab mix who is 7 1/2 months old, that we adopted from a rescue shelter, had chewed his hair off his hind legs and had bald spots appearing on his body. Took him to the vet and he was given allergy medication and put on Hill's d/d dry food for dogs. They both worked, but it was so expensive. I decided to try the Natural Balance Sweet Pototoe and Fish food. I slowed added a little bit at a time into his food. He is now off the medication and the d/d food and is doing great. A note for anyone who does decide to try it, add a little at each meal to see how the dog reacts. His bowel movements are also dry. Great stuff and half the price of what I was paying. Hope this helps your dog."

"I have a pit bull who was suffering with very bad skin allergies all of summer 2007. He looked as if he had mange it was so bad ! I switched him to Natural balance food and by the time he finished the bag his skin was looking so much better. After the second bag you couldnt tell he ever had a skin problem. His hair all grew back and was healthy and shiny.
He loves all the Natural Balance foods and so does my little Jack Russell.
I will never feed them anything else."

"My dog has had allergic reactions to many of the dog foods out there. We had decided to go strictly organic and found an all protein food (made of all meat, nothing else) and she did okay with it for a short period of time. She started getting her yeast infections back and she started refusing to eat the food. She would only eat at about every 3rd feeding. The food would stay untouched in her dish for the other 2 feedings.
We switched over to this food about 1 month ago and have yet to see any negative signs. She is ecstatic to eat the food and gobbles it right up. She really looks forward to meal time again, where she hardly cared at all before."

"This food is probably good for most pets. My Bichon Frise and Maltese did not like the flavor of the Sweet Potato and Fish Formula. I have since put them on the Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Venison and the Potato and Duck Formula's and they love them both. Their allergies have disappeared and they are much healthier on the Natural Balance foods."

"I adopted my dog from the pound and I believe that the previous owner fed him table food only. My dog is so picky and will not eat his food, no matter what i mix with it. The puppy also has skin allergies. I want him to eat only a dry nutricious meal. When I fed him this Natural balance food, not only didhe love it, but also I did not need to mix any flavoring to force hime to eat it. He actually wants too much of it, that I measure and monitor how much he eats. I would definatley recommend this food to any dog."

"We adopted a sweet golden retriever pup with the worst dandruff I have ever seen. We put him on this food and the results were amazing. His dandruff cleared up in 2 weeks. Great stuff! he eats it with no problem but it does have a fishy smell."

"My Lab-Newfie has been suffering more and more from itching and hot spots and I finally committed to finding a remedy - this food really is great! Within the first 3 days we began to see a change and after 2 weeks he is doing great! We took away all other food and treats and he is growing hair back in all over his hot spots and face and the itching is 99% reduced! The shedding is greatly reduced as well!! This product is great because it doesn't have wheat, soy, meat protein or dairy...other so called "allergen formulas" have these ingredients so read the labels! This may be more expensive but it is worth the results and I will save money in the long run on pills and vet visits! Bear is off the allergy pills! Can't wait to try the treats by Dick Van Patten!"

"Our one year old yorkie was dealing with upset stomach and vomiting and server itching. After only a week on the food she is doing so much better. Hasn't thrown up once and has considerably less itching. I am so glad we found this food!!!"

"I have went through so many types of foods for dog allergies because I have 3 shar-pei's who tend to have allergies. I have not any problems with them since starting this food, great for their skin and no Flatulence which was a huge problem. They digest it very well and love the taste. One of my dogs also has heart disease and this food is very low in sodium, which is also an added plus because she was very limited to treats and now I am able to give them to her because they carry those too. I am so glad I found this food and so glad that they also make treats. Because I am still able to reward my dogs and feel good about it."

"My cockapoo pup did well on this food. It wasn't her favorite, but w/ her allergies, it helped. Only thing is it is a little "fishy" smelling. Also the size of the kibble was a little big for her (she a small breed though). I will be trying the small breed size kibble that just came out this time. All in all, Natural Balance makes GREAT products for allergy pets. I would recommend trying any of their foods."

"Absolutely the best dog food ever! We have two dogs. Our little one is very picky and wasn't eating much of any dog food we tried, even name popular name brands, until Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Fish Formula. "Fergie was not a big fan of dry food until Dick Van Patten's sweet potato & fish formula swept her off her paws! She loves this meal and when she is really good, I mix it with his natural balance sausage roll. Not only is this product healthy, but it fills her stomach well!"
