CURE for TUMMY ACHES
Date: October 9, 2009
"I bought this food for my mini-schnauzers who both suffer from sensitive stomachs. At the time we were feeding them EVO which, although costs a small fortune, is too high in proteins and fats for their stomachs to handle. We switched them to this and within 24 hours their stomachs were normal - no gas, no runs. I recommend this food to anyone who has dogs with sensitive stomachs. I've heard the Sweet Potatoes and Venison is good as well. Thanks!"

Great for dogs with allergies
Date: September 9, 2009
"I have 3 little dogs and they stay mostly in the house. I used to buy lower priced dog foods and they developed dry skin, dull coats, hot spots and were always scratching. Even oatmeal baths didn't help much. My vet told me they had allergies and to put them on a limited ingredient food to help. I tried the one from the vet's office but didn't see any difference and it was very expensive. I started them on Natural Balance Sweet potato & Fish dog food and now their coats are soft and shiny. They no longer get hot spots or scratch. They are active and happy. I would definitely recommend it to others."

Exceptionally Nutritious Dry Dog Food
Date: September 2, 2009
"Natural Balance is a one carbohydrate--one protein dog food. It is this combination that is healthiest for dogs. There are no fillers or artificial ingredients. My lab tends to have a sensitive stomach and allergies. She has thrived on this Natural Balance product. I wholeheartedly recommend it. While the product is more expensive than most dry dog foods, your dog requires less and also eliminates less. Try it and I know you will be convinced as I am."

My Dog LOVES this food!
Date: May 14, 2009
"We switched our dog to this food about 3 1/2 years ago - best thing we ever did. Our lab had allergies (like most labs/purebreds) and we didn't even know it was the food we used to feed him - it was expensive food, but still not up to the quality of Natural Balance. Our dog loves it, and his coat is so shiny - everyone comments on how good it looks. I feel better knowing I am feeding my dog the best food available on the market."

FINALLY-Peace At Last!!!
Date: April 19, 2009
"I am an animal lover who has spent the last 18 months training and adoring my female black and rust Doberman as a service dog. At about 6 months of age she developed acne which started on her face and spread to the rest of her body (mainly her neck and back).
I waited some time to see if perhaps it was Puppy acne and would resolve on its own...meanwhile treating it with a specially formulated lotion. After a while I couldn't tolerate the thought of her dealing with these pustules any longer and changed her diet several times.
I only buy the highest quality food for my pets (regardless of the expense) and none of them have been an answer to what I felt and had been told were allergies. Until now! This product has given her back (in a matter of days) her soft puppy coat, and a calm-happy tummy.
She has not thrown up, her stools are solid, and her sores are diminishing and almost gone. The hair around her eyes is full and her skin is grey/white like it should be. She loves the taste especially when supplemented with canned NB SP+F.
If your dog is not tip top shape...please give this a try. I wish I had earlier. I made the common mistake of thinking that a less expensive food couldn't be better than the ones that cost an arm and a leg. I am now swiching my three cats to the green pea Duck formula.
-Good luck to everyone seeking an answer for their beloved family member(s)!"

Great product....
Date: April 9, 2009
"My cocker/golden retriever mix suffered from allegies. She was always, always chewing at her paws and scratching at her muzzle. I original went to purchase a Solid Gold product but Petco was out of the variety I wanted to try. This was very fortunate for our dog. I started browsing and reading the brands and labels. By chance, I came across Natural Balance and I felt comfortable with the ingredients and that it was for dogs with allergies. It has been 5 months and Ginger does NOT chew on her paws and only occasionally scratchs at her muzzle:) I recommend trying this product"

Great for EBD Allergies
Date: March 17, 2009
"My English Bulldog had been suffering for over a year with severe food allergies. he had bumps all over his body, constant ear infections, and his white face was often pink due to the allergies. Through elimination diets I've discovered he's allergic to peanuts, beef, lamb, duck, all grains including rice, and dairy. He was even allergic to the $70 for 18 pounds IVD hypo diet. I tried probably 10 different foods until i found this one and it works wonderfully. The only reason this was not the first food I tried was bc it use to have Menadione on its ingrediant label; however it appears sometime in the past year they got smart and quit using the chemical in their dog food. Love this food!"

Best Dog Food!
Date: March 3, 2009
"I have a purebred Golden Retreiever who is also red which means that she has allergy issues. We have her on this brand of food and she has never had ear infections nor any skin issues. She loves the food and I switch between this and the other allergy formulas that Natural Balance makes. It does cost a bit more but it is the only food my dog gets so I want it to be the best. Even in this tough economy I would never switch to a lower cost food. Natural Balance is one of the best foods out there. I am a lifelong dog and cat owner and I swear by their products - and no I am not an employee."

A Must Have
Date: February 24, 2009
"I have two Sheltie Puppies and the boy has tummy issues. After no luck at the Vet I started reading and tried a number of products. I have had a Sheltie or two for 30 years and the food I always used isn't available in this area anymore. I Found a teaspoon of pumpkin helped him so I looked for natural food with no corn. I read about Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Fish. I got a bag at PETCO. My little boy's issues went away. The local store didn’t have it for a while and I used something else. His issues came back. Thank goodness PetCo listens to their customer and carries it again. My Shelties are doing GREAT. They are 11 Months old."

Awesome grain-free kibble
Date: January 28, 2009
"I really like this dry food. It's grain-free and is nowhere near the price of other GF kibbles out there (such as Wellness Core or Evo). We had our greyhound on Pro Plan but I wanted him to move onto a grain free diet since I believe it's better for dogs, and because I have a gluten sensitivity and didn't want him depositing gluten via his saliva all over the apartment. Well, he absolutely loves this food and I have noticed an improvement in his coat, breath, and digestion since we moved him onto it. No more voluminous, stinky poops, and his breath is not nearly as toxic. I really recommend this kibble."

Awsome!
Date: January 28, 2009
"I have been dealing with my little puggle itching and scraching for months and the vet just kept saying "shes just loosing her puppy fur"....Not the case. She was alergic to something in the Puppy Chow I was giving her. Someone told me that they had a puggle and when they switchd foods the puppy got itchy. So I started to look into foods that were for dogs with allergys, and this is the second food I tried and the BEST!
My dog will always be on this product, and I love that there are more than just one flavor of food with limited ingredients, and that there are treats that go along with it !!! Love this product!

Thank GOD! Finally!!
Date: January 26, 2009
"My 8 mo. old 1/2 EB & 1/2 Pit, Roscoe has struggled with nasty gastro issues since I got him at 10 wks. As time went on, I've gradually started to figure out what he's allergic to and would then make the slow change to a new food. Each time he might have 1 sold stool in a week- that's it. We've battled explosive diarrea and foul gas for so long.
A month ago I switched him to Merrick Wilderness Blend. While his coat improved and he loved it, I figured out the 3 rich meat sources in the food were just too much for his tummy (it is an excellent food though for dogs who haven't got a sensitive tummy). Now, after having opted for premium foods, grain-free, no soy, sorn, by-products, etc, and continuing my endless hours of research, this past weeked I decided to make the 5th food change and decided to try DVP's Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Fish.
I never thought I'd be so excited to see solid stool, but this morning, after only 2 prior feedings of this stuff, HOORAY! Solid stool!! I opted not to do a slow switch ONLY b/c it just couldn't get any worse than it already was- believe me...it was horrible! I couldn't bring myself to keep giving him food in a slow transition that would continue to make his tummy sick (ordinarily I would reccommend a slow switch though).
While it may be too early to be this excited, I truly believe this is it- the last food I'll have to try! He loves it and the treats too and I plan on going back to PetCo to get some of the canned L.I.D. canned food also to mix in w/the kibble.
Words cannot express how grateful I am to have found this food! I would highly reccommed it to anyone's pup who has been battling GI problems.
I can't wait to see an increased improvement in his coat too, as by reading the other reviews, is bound to happen!
A happy tummy is a happy puppy!"

Wonderful food
Date: December 23, 2008
"My bulldog used to be pink all over and would lick his feet and paw his face constantly. The vet suggested a food allergy may be the problem. We tried a coupld other foods before this one...and were amazed. The fish formula helps his belly as well."

Best Dog Food!!
Date: November 30, 2008
"Our dog had been to the vet several times over 4 months with all kinds of allergy testing and pills for him to take. The vet could not figure out why our dog was scratching and going bald and nothing was working. We had just got him from the humane society so we didn't know him well enough to know what was wrong with him. I decided to try an allergy dry dog food to see if this was a food related allergy. After one week on Natural Balance, he stopped scratching all together and all his fur has grown back. He loves the food and he has a beautiful coat now. I would recommend to anyone who thinks their dog may have a food allergy. He is now happy once again!"

Fixed Tummy issues
Date: November 5, 2008
"Our Rider has had tummy issues since we got him 6 years ago- we've tried every food we thought might help and all the suggestions our vet had to no avail. Then we heard about this food. Tummy issues are all but gone and he loves the food! We're also much happier with the ingredients compared to the other name brand "sensitive stomach" food we have been feeding.
Definitely worth a try if you are having tummy or allergy issues.

Excellent Switch
Date: September 7, 2008
"We had our dog Bruce (adopted from a shelter at 9 months), a lab/beagle/boxer mix, on Nutro (as that's what his foster mom used) and then on Merrick puppy formula. He was getting too old for puppy formula and there was an unidentified (I think grain) allergy in the foods we had him on. So we switched to the Sweet Potato and Fish blend and voila! Allergies reduced, less dander for us (he's a hair/dander factory!), and he SCARFS it, unlike the other foods. Aside from hiccups from eating the food too fast, it's a gem!"
