"I use the Playfence gate for both the protection of my two children and my dog. We use it outside on our deck. It is wonderful. So was so easy to set up and so easy to use. It is very attractive to the eye. It has endured some harsh weather and is holding up great. My friends and family compliment me on it whenever they come over. It allows my children and dog to run around on the deck without the fear of them falling down the stairs or running away. It was the best investment for our family's sanity. Thank you."

and the gate works wonderfully. It is nice to have a

"We have three boundary gates of different shapes, styles, makes etc.... after moving into our new house and finding that the measurements were a fit with your product we PURCHASED!!! We love the new Playfence gate. I will recommend this product to all with kids and pets seeking gating solutions! Suggestions: I wish that you had wall extensions so that openings that are slightly greater than approved measurements can be accommodated. I would like to use your product exclusively throughout but it is a little short for some areas! We use it for our child and pets! Kristin - Palm Springs, California."

"Hi --I'm a proud father of two lovely girls. We also have two large breed dogs, a yellow lab and a golden retriever. A typical father, I spent a lot of time researching for the best solution gate solution out there, and after many hours of research on websites, google, baby stores, etc., I found the Playfence on your website. I saw this product and it looked like the best fit for our needs. We were searching for a gate that was easy to install, cover our entry/exit points and stairwells, dogs, and something that we didn't have to take down or put up all the time. My dogs; the ultimate product testers..2 paws down

"The reviews for this fence were so wonderful that I couldn't help but buy one for my 2 labradors (Hope - 4 year old brown lab, Dalton - 4 year old yellow lab). Currently Hope and Dalton spend 4 days a week in their metal kennels (indoors) while I am at work and although we've tried time and again to allow them free reign of the house while we're away, they just can't be trusted. At age 4 Dalton is still a chewer and although he has a veritable buffet of toys he still sometimes choses to chew on things that he shouldn't and Hope tends to show her displeasure of our absence by leaving little surprises on our bed/floor. I thought that purchasing an extra wide fence to close them off in the tiled kitchen would be a great compromise between complete freedom and their safety.
The fence arrived in perfect condition, looked very nice, and was exceptionally easy to install. The one feature I was surprised to find lacking, was an automatic rewinding of the fence. For some reason I assumed the fence would have an internal mechanism to both pull it taut across the opening, and rewind the fence into the casing when unlatched (guess I've looked at too many of those pull out screen doors at Lowes). It does not however, so the knob on the top of the casing must be turned in order to wind the fence back out of the way. A bit of a hassle, but certainly liveable.
Knowing how creative our little angels can be when it comes to new items such as this, we shut them up in the kitchen but didn't go very far so we could observe their behavior and determine if this fence really would be the answer to our prayers.
Unfortunately, in less than 5 minutes, our mischevious 45 lb Dalton had nosed against the left bottom portion of the fence (where the webbing attaches to the latching mechanism) so robustly that the fencing material popped/ripped out of the latching mechanism. This makes the fence totally unusable and we must now return it.
I'm not sure if we just got a defective model, or if Dalton is especially strong, but it took longer for us to put the fence up than it took for him to ruin it. We're really quite disappointed that this product didn't work for us and as a result of our little test, I don't believe we'd recommend it to others unless they have weaker/more passive beasts at which point, do you really need a fence like this anyways?"

"I admit, I was initially skeptical of how strong the mesh would be for dogs, but I am now using this gate daily for my Yorkie terrier and Yellow Lab to block off the rest of the house from their area while I am at work. If you mount the wall brackets flush to the floor (versus above the baseboard) and tighten the gate according to the directions, my little dog can't even get her head under this gate--and a Yorkie is a small dog! I also like that they can see through the mesh and it cleans up very easily (Mr. Clean sponge is best)! Easy to use, and I love the fact that I can move it from one set of brackets to another quickly! Very good product, well worth it!"

"This gate is a great solution especially to thoise that have Italian Greyhounds. These little guys are fast and furious and gone before you can blink an eye.
I purchased this gate to place at the top of the stairs so that when the doorbell rings, "fancy pants" can't run down the stairs and out the door. I am also planning to get another rescue and everyone knows one iggy is okay, but 2 you got a problem...so this gate solved that problem
The gate is well constructed, has a neat clean appearnace, and is easy to use.
I would not reccommend this gate for very young puppies or to keep litters in a contained area as the mesh bottom can be chewed. I would reccommend this gate for dogs past the chewing stage -3 or better."

"We installed the first of the two Playfence retractable gates we purchased from you last night. My husband, who is very into the mechanics of things was extremely happy with the construction of the item and said it was far better than the other retractable gate we had in the past. I like the fact that it is so easy to use and you don't have to retract it every time. I can run into the kitchen, grab an item and then hook the gate on the way back out without having to pull it out of the housing again. The gate is serving a two-fold purpose. The kitchen gate keeps the dog in the kitchen and the kids out, both for co-mingling reasons and the fact that I don't want to have to look out for little ones while I'm cooking. The gate upstairs will be used to keep kids in the play area without allowing them access to our stairs, and we purchased extra brackets so we can take that same gate downstairs where the kids are, and put it in the hallway leading to the back door (my 3 year olds favorite exit) and basement stairs (my 13 month olds favorite activity)."

"I have been using the Playfence for about 7 months to keep my dog in the kitchen. We needed an unobtrusive gate that could be tucked out of the way when not in use and the Playfence fit the bill perfectly. It is constructed of high quality materials and shows no signs of wear so far. It has actually gotten easier to use as it breaks in. I would (and have) highly recommend the Playfence to anyone!"
