"I would have given this 5 stars, but it is a little large for my car - a never Honda Civic. It is so padded that it kind of squishes between the seats on the console. It is made for an very small dog. Mine is about 4.5 lbs and any dog bigger than that would not be comfortable in it. However, that being said, my pup loves it and enjoys looking out the window while being safely strapped into the car. I take her everywhere!!"

"I'm fairly pleased with this purchase. One day, while running errands around town, I was in a car accident and did not have my 5 pound Maltese in his car seat. He was on my lap and because I skid for awhile before impact, I was able to hold onto him but the outcome could have been much worse. Now, whether just around town, or on a long trip on the freeway, I make sure Barkley is secured in his car seat. The only problem I have with it is that sometimes he tries to jump in the backseat, and the safety strap allows him enough movement to get completely out of the seat and onto the backseat, which is not good while I'm driving because he then wants me to lift him back to the console seat since he is still attached to it and therefore cannot lie down in the backseat. It would be better if instead of having 1 strap which attaches to his harness, it had a strap on each side that attaches to his harness. That way, he would have to stay in place but still give him enough movement to stand up or lie down. Maybe it could have a little elastic. But, other than that, it is great, as I am a frequent traveller."

"I have a SUV and my yorkie LOVES for me to hold him while I'm trying to drive...yeah, not so safe for either of us. I purchased this and we both absolutely LOVE it!!!! He sits in the carseat if he wants to look out but it also gives him room to lay down if he wants to.
The only thing I would caution about is if your dog is over about 6 or 7 pounds and you WANT them to lay down I really don't think there would be enough room to comfortably do that. My yorkie is 4 months old and he weighs 5 pounds. He can lay down in it comfortably but if he were much bigger he would have to sit and not be able to lie down.
Other than that, it's GREAT!!!!! It definitely works for us and my yorkie thinks he's hot stuff when he rides in it. ha"

"This is perfect for my dog. She is a four pound Pomchi (Pomeranian/Chihuahua). My console is a little small so it fits in there perfectly. She normally bounces all around, but when I put her in it she discovered that she could see out the windshield and stayed put. She even cuddled down and went to sleep. Well worth it if you have a VERY small dog."

"I'm very pleased with this purchase. I wanted something to protect my chihuahua from sudden stops and swerves. Plus she loves to stand on my lap and look out the window, which is a pain unless you are going down a straight road. It keeps her in one place and safe. She still prefers my lap, but in this case I win!"

"Immediately our little long haired chihuahua, Zoey jumped in the seat and was ready to go. She can stretch out and take naps as well as sit up and watch out the vehicles front window. Perfect and will recommend this car seat to anyone who travels with small animals. Be sure to use a harness on your pet and not a collar."

"I didn't know if my Yorkie would like this car seat, so we saved the receipt. She jumped right in. She even jumps into the car seat when her master is holding her in the back seat. She knows that this is where she is surpose to be. We have thrown the receipt away LOL"

"My little 2lb chihuahua puppy loves this car seat. She feels snuggly sitting in between my husband and I in the front seat. I strap it to the two front seat bars. I have another car that doesn't have this, so I buckle the two back seatbelts and strap it to them. This works well also."

"Our little yorkie loves her new lookout! Before riding in the car was a problem, she didn't want to sit in her other car seat we had bought, which was in the back seat. Now she jumps in the car, right into her seat and stays there for the entire trip. She is a little over 5 lbs and fits fine in the smaller seat console. Enough room for her to lay down. We also bought a safety harness which we use in addition to the seat. Both work great!

"If you like taking your dog in the car and knowing that they are safe in case of an accident or your having to stop short then you definitely need this.
Zoey loves to ride on my lap but that is dangerous to us both when I am driving. So I saw the reviews and decided to give it a try.
Definitely well made and comfy. Great item to have to keep everyone safe while driving."

"We had a very fussy dog who always wanted to be held while riding in the car. Then we got the console and our little yorkie couldn't be happier! He loves riding in the middle of the car and still be able to see outside. There is also plenty of room for him to lie down and relax or chew on his favorite toy! The three straps are also very secure. We feel he is much safer riding in the console!"
