great product
Date: February 14, 2009
"i bought this about a year ago..and it's fast and easy..this is the best way to clean your tank..espcially if you have a big one...the only thing is that your tank has to be close to your sink..this thing is only 25 ft. long...but it's worth the money of buying this...all you need to do is hook it up and relax until it's done sucking the water out..this is the best thing i've had compared to the old fashion way of bringing heavy buckets back and worth.."

After a few changes it works
Date: December 11, 2008
"Okay. So first get rid of that white plastic thing and get a metal one...You can get those pretty cheap at any plumbing or hardware store. The plastic one doesn't tighten very well and sprays water everywhere. I had to take the black rubber washer out of the blue part that connects to the faucet so it wouldn't pop off. After that I haven't had any problems with it. It's a lot better than siphoning water into a bucket. Oh but do make sure your faucet is turned on all of the way or it won't get a good suction."

The good old days
Date: December 3, 2008
"i bought this a little over a week ago and just got it today. I started the process at 1 o'clock and read the directions. The directions couldn't be more clear so i know i wasn't doing it wrong. First off the faucet water never started the vacuum process. All the pieces fit perfect on my faucet so no problems with connection. At about 4 o'clock i still couldn't get it to vac. After 3 hours i just used my old self starter vac i got for four dollars at my local pet shop. And used that into a 6 gallon bucket. I have a 120 gallon tank so this is time consuming. after removing 25% of the water i tried seeing if it at least would fill my tank. The blue connection kept popping off making a mess. Now at 6 o'clock i just took the blue connection off and sent the water down the hose. Checking every now and then to see where it was. Having to hold it up to the faucet the whole time i had to make about 40-50 trips back to the tank. Since its cold out my outside hose it frozen so i basically paid 70$ after shipping etc for a rubber hose. I will be returning this tomorrow and if that goes smoothly ill post it."

Good buy

"I broke my blue pump part and was coming here to see if petco had the parts, and saw the negative review. This makes cleaning and filling the aquarium an easy chore compared to without."
