Great Product

"The delivery and service was great, what was described in the details of the product is what you got. Not hard to assemble and is not to heavy to move if you have to."

Quailty Purchase
Date: September 24, 2009
"My husband and I are retired and we found this to be extremely easy to put together. You can't just think you can look at it and put it together. If you follow the steps in the instructions a little bit of muscle and it goes up very easily. Took us about 5 1/2 hours to put together."

Good product

"The most difficult part of essembly was unrolling the fence out. Besides that it was easy.
Good for dog enclosure and also using for enclosure of chicken coop.

Beyond what I expected
Date: July 7, 2009
"Excellent product!! Far exceeded my expectations. Shipping was fast and efficient. My 16yr old daughter and I put it together in about 3hrs. Was sooo easy. Sturdy so I didn't need the anchor kit I'd purchased separately. Very convenient and keeps my dogs safe when they're outside."

Not as difficult as I thought it would be
Date: June 13, 2009
"With all the reviews, I was leery at first. But In an afternoon, my 9 year old son and I (I am not a big brut of a thing either...4'11) put this thing together. We had to stop and dismantle things because we'd used the bolts that go to the hinges for the upright braces, but that was quickly remedied. Lay out your parts first and see what the instructions want you to do. The door wasn't assembled either in mine, but it took all of ten minutes to do ourselves. A good wratchet wrence helps for quickly tightening the bolts (think tha's what it's called). Nothing missing from the box. Our border collie and beagle will love this. We got the sunshade as well."

good kennel
Date: April 10, 2009
"good fence, hire someone to put it togehter for you as it is complicated. All the parts were there so that was not a problem. It is very roomy, I put an outdoor rug in the kennel and some toys, food and water dishes, like a home away from home for her. Sweetie Pie loves it she lays outside all day stalking the birds and squirrells here in the woods of Maine LOL. She is also safe from all the unwanted critters that tend to show up in the yard. I loved this fence so much I just ordered another!"

Nice kennel for the money
Date: March 28, 2009
"After reading the reviews here, I was hesitant about buying it - especially the concerns expressed about the chain link. But - we couldn't find one locally even close to the price, and Petco assured us that if it came missing parts, or defective, they'd back it up.
The frame goes up easily - pay attention to the recommendations on the instructions (like not putting the door over a joint - although that was easily solved by putting a self tapping screw in!) For the chain link fencing installation - I recommend a flat surface, like a driveway, plenty of room around the frame, and two people (one to fasten the fence to the frame, and one to keep the fencing upright). It took about 2 hours, but I'm slow;-) I had no missing parts, and while some of the chain link loops were un-hooked from each other on the top & bottom (and some were also un-wound a couple of turns), with a little patience, all of that was easily solved - again, it goes better with two people.
The instructions recommend a 9/16" and 1/2" wrench - I kept a 10mm socket handy, because the 1/2" bolts have galvanizing on them, making them a little thicker than normal. And - if you opt for the UV cover - gentle on the tie wraps; over-tightening them will break them.
Good luck!"

Not for medium to large dogs
Date: August 8, 2008
"The shipping was quick, which was great. It was very easy to assemble. BUT, our lab was able to get out by raising up on the bottom of the chain link. Even with the tie downs spaced 6 inches apart. He was able to lift hard enough to get them to let go or break. Don't get me wrong. This is a nice dog run, but I wouldn't recommend it for bigger dogs."

Disappointed
Date: April 17, 2008
"My husband and myself were able to put the frame together without any problems, but the chain link fence was a disaster. Very poor quality. It took us a long time to untangle it and then many links were destroyed. We had to reshape many of them. We finally went to the hardware store and bought wire so we could connect the chain link fencing to the frame. Company should have a better quality fencing."

good purchase
Date: January 14, 2008
"It takes 2 people, a little muscle and about 3 hours to put it together. If put together correctly it is so tight your babies can not escape no matter how heavy they are. Well worth the money. I would recommend the sun tarp for the top."

Better for smaller dogs
Date: September 5, 2007
"This product can not be put together by yourself. Although it only took two people. We bought it right at the store and there was some parts missing. When we called the store they took parts out of another one and gave it to us. I do suggest using something else to put the bottom of the fence to the pole. My Lab is too smart and figured out a way to undo the metal ties that you use to connect it. My two labs don't use it to run around like some people reported, I really do not feel there is enough space for bigger dogs. They are both 70 lbs and need more room than that to run around. The picture makes it seem bigger than it is. So if you have smaller dogs this is perfect, bigger noy so much."

Ok for the price
Date: July 26, 2007
"We
recieved our kennel and the frame was really easy to put together, but
the chain links were the problem. The links were all tangled up and
separated. It took about 45 minutes just to get the chain link up. We
had to untangle numerous places and put links back together. The chain
links could have been better quality. For the price it looks pretty
good, but next time I will spend more money for something already
assembled.

Dog Run
Date: May 7, 2007
"Overall, this is a good product. However, it was really time consuming to put together - maybe 6 hours. It took a couple days because we were missing parts and the door was not pre-assembled as pictured. I called the company requesting the parts & a pre-assembled door because the parts to the door were bent. They were very nice but didn't have the instructions I was sent because I guess what Petco sold me was an old product. I spent a great deal of time talking with the manufacturer & received the missing parts but not the pre-assembled door. I must say that the people working for the manufacturer were very nice and tried to help. Overall, the kennel has held up well. I would take the time in the beginning to inventory all the parts and get a game plan in terms of assembling it. My dad is meticulous and he did a great job of making the kennel both attractive and sturdy. I don't use it outside - I placed it in one of my garages (on hot days I leave the door to the garage open so it benefits from my air conditioner) as my dogs have destroyed my house -separately they are fine but together they get into too much mischief when I am not there. I feel better about leaving them in the kennel instead of their crates but always make sure they get plenty of exercise before I confine them. My dogs weigh 20 lbs. so it gives them just enought room to play a little! I have different toys in the kennel and I always leave them treats in there so they get excited when I put them in. I attached a waterer to the side so they have more room to play. There are metal parts to secure the kennel at the bottom which you have to secure safely as I have found a couple loose inside the kennel. Your dog could really get hurt from those. If you are going to use the kennel outside go to a hardware store and get a cheap tarp to tie on top to protect your dog from the elements. The bottom line is that this is a good product once you get past the assembly."

Hard to put together
Date: March 8, 2007
"Overall the product came in so many peices had to hire a professional to put together. I was missing some parts so he had to go to home depot luckly for me it only cost 5.00. According to the contractor it was hard to put together because the wires were all bent. The manufacture just threw the stuff in a box and who knows what happen once it was at FedEx. Overall it looks good the dog hates it but it is keeping my boxer contained just be prepared for it to be a nightmare to put together."

Life Saver!
Date: October 8, 2006
"I purchased this kennel/run (whatever) about 1 year ago... our wooden fence was demolished by the hurricanes last year (2005)... all of the construction workers in the area were so swamped with work that we were several months away from getting any repairs, much less a much needed new fence... we were desperate and realized we would have to dish out several hundred dollars in order to keep our girls safe and out of the street while we are at work now that we are fence-less... and our girls are HUGE!!! We have a Rottweiler and an American Bulldog... 75lbs. each! so they need room and sturdiness... this was such a life saver!!! Between my husbamd and myself we took maybe 3 hours or so to build it, but it was very easy. just heavy... I definitely recommend this to anyone with big dogs... after a year it is still in excellent condition... no rust, no cracks, no breaks, and my escape artists have never gotten out! A couple of months ago we finally got a new wooden fence installed, but I will never get rid of this product... it's definitely the best money I've ever spent on my girls!"

"I think this product is wonderful!! I adopted 2 black labs and they just love this thing! They are full of energy but still too young to prance around on their own. They get into this kennel and bounce around and have a blast!
The install was not bad at all. My husband and I put it together in about an hour and half. I was trying to convince him to just build our own but after putting this up I'm glad he didn't. This can be moved anywhere in the yard. I like that aspect of it."

Good product, bad shipping engineering
Date: August 19, 2006
"This dog run would be great if it were shipped in four panels and door with the fencing already installed. If the pen had the type of hinges that are on the door on each of the four panels, it would be super easy to put together.
But the fencing was cumbersome to erect and became tangled - and as a result, it took us over 5 hours to put together. The shipping box should have been 6 feet high, etc.
The good news is our 60 pound lab seems perfectly content in it.

Good Kennel
Date: July 30, 2006
"I have to disagree with the other reviewers in a several areas. First of all, mine did come with a door that is fully assembed as well as very sturdy. Secondly, I didn't think it was very hard at all to put together and I'm a white collar guy. The instructions were easy to follow. It did take me about 2 hours but I took my time to do it right the first time. The only thing I had to do which wasn't in the instructions was drill holes in some of the cross bars(upper and lower) then put a bolt through. This better secured the kennel so my dog couldn't just push the bars apart and escape. But that was easy and now it's solid as a rock. It saved me several hundred dollars going this route and my very large and energetic 1 year old German Shepherd does well in it. In fact, he jumps up on the gate and sides constantly yet it holds up well day in and day out. I'd say the only negative thing would be that you really couldn't break this down and store it. Once it's up, it's there to stay. However, hopefully you understand that, when you purchase it.
I feel this is a very good solid kennel option for a reasonable price. The box is very heavy though, I will warn you."
