Not good for ticks

"I adopted a new doggy from the Humane Society, the next day we found a few ticks on her. I applied K-9 Advantix to both my dogs religiously for 3 months only to find my dogs and my house infested with ticks. They both now use the preventic collar which is keeping the ticks off the dogs. It's been 2 months, 3 house bombings and a yard treatment by a professional exterminator and we still find the little buggers climbing up walls and across the floor. I trusted Advantix to work and now I am paying the price. Will never recommend this product for ticks!!"

"Our dog, Balta, joined our family on a warm September evening when we found her running thru the woods. She was very under weight & full of fleas. She would have to live in our garage until we could get her checked by the vet. We called the vet's office to schedule an appointment & asked for advice. Our vet tech told us about Advantix & within 3 days after the first application, there were no fleas left. That was 2005 & we haven't stopped using it since. I am pleased to report that we have not had any flea problems. I won't take the risk of trying anything else. We are sold on Advantix & feel that it is worth the money for the "peace of mind""

"Princess, my yellow lab could not stand one flea to get on her. We tried everything to ease her and rid of the fleas. K9 Advantix worked immediately and also controls mosquitos (which are known to cause the dready heart worms). The cost is very comparable to that of the individual dose of over the counter flea controls. K9 Advantix is worth the cost. You will not be disappointed in the results! Princess can now comfortably sing "There ain't no bugs on me!""

"We used Frontline for years on our dogs, it is very important we have tick protection (we have hunting dogs), after being told to use the Frontline as often as every two weeks to control the fleas I decided to try the K-9 Advantage and haven't had itching dogs since."

"I have a Boxer and an English Bulldog. My Bulldog used to get fleas and he would rub up against anything he could and spin in circles on the floor trying to scratch his back to the point of rubbing his fur off and getting skin infectons. This product got rid of the fleas and now no more skin problems.. I like it too because it repels mosquitos. Also, it isn't oily and doesn't have any smell like some of the cheap brands you may purchase from a regular department store."

"This is a must have if you have dogs. I have used it since it has been out and it works GREAT! Once it is on my dogs I don't have problems with ticks, fleas, or mosquitoes. I have never been disappointed with this product."

This stuff works!

"I spent hundreds of dollars on Frontline over the last several years with no success. Each time I thought, "ok, it will work this time, I just didn't do it right." It never did. My mutt doesn't handle fleas very well at all. He chews his self raw and constantly barks, scratches, and whines. I forked the money out for this stuff and it was worth it. It took a little longer than is stated in the description but he is so much better. I haven't seen a flea since the 2nd or 3rd day. I will definitely buy this product again. Its expensive, but it does what it says, unlike Frontline."

"I have used this product on both my dogs and we have never had a problem with fleas or ticks. My cairn terrier was very allergic to fleas so we had to be extra careful with him as we travel to other parts of the country and are dealing with the North and South. Again we never had a problem since using this product."

"My dogs are doing great with this product! Not a single flea, tick, OR mosquito. Neither dog is getting chewed up by black flies eather. I used to feel so bad for them when ever I saw the little red bites on their bellies, or the itchy eyes. This product really does a great job!"

Seems to work but..

"K9 Advantix seems to be working. Neither of my dogs has had any fleas or ticks on them since I started the medication. (In the past I had only found one tick on them without the medicine though.) We do live about 2 houses away from a forrest in Illinois and there are deer that run through it.
The only problem I had with the medicine is that there is a lot in the tube and its hard to get it all to soak up in the dogs skin. I applied it in 3 places on the skin and in each place there was so much that the fur was saturated too. Both of the dogs tried to lick it off, but I know some was soaked up into the skin.
My only concern with this and many flea/tick topical meds is that it says in the directions that the medicine should not contact your skin and if so wash for a long period of time...and call poision control. It also says do not get any of it in the water supply, as it is very toxic for fish......if the product is that bad for us and other creatures....how is it ok for our dogs???"

"Love the fact that it not only kills fleas and ticks but it also stops mosquitos too. Helps in the prevention of heart worm!! Works very well on my dogs. It has not side affects. Will continue to keep buying. Price is also lowest anywhere!"

"Was having a hard time with fleas this year, usually don't. I got advantix and now I haven't seen a single flea on my pup! I choose advantix because it also repels mosquitos, so any added protection against heartworms is great!"
