I was skeptical, but tried this stuff anyway. The other product did not kill all the fleas! So I tried Frontline Plus, hoping to relieve at least some of the scratching my cats were suffering from. I could see an almost immediate effect, but after 5-6 days, there was a definite result. Very little, if any scratching! (How much is just a normal itch?) As far as I am concerned, Frontline Plus is for me! (Sounds like a TV ad? - Yes but it's the truth!)

I am a veterinarian and a proud cat owner. I have used frontline on my cats for about 5 years now and I personally think it works better and is safer than most other flea and tick products on the market. My only complaint is the oily spot on the back of the neck, but that goes away in about 48 hours. It is worth the protection you get, especially from the deadly diseases that ticks can transmit to your cats.

I was desperate to find a flea killer and I have found one. I recently got married and my husband brought with him his male cat and the fleas. I have a inside only cat, and another newly adopted cat from the vet that might have brought them as well. Between the new cats they quickly shared their flea "friends" so with 3 cats you can just imagine. My inside male Oliver, got a flea allergy. He lost some hair on his lower back and it got raw from his licking it. We tried a cheap brand from the store, didn't work at all. A month later I tried Frontline plus. What a difference! I came in the home and saw dead fleas on the floor! We treated all our cats. Also my cat oliver was hiding from us, because he would go into a itching frenzy when we would pet him. For the first time in about 3 weeks, he actually came in to the living room to see us. I would recommend this product even over advantage.

My dog got fleas last summer and gave them to my cat and they were both really suffering. I had done a lot of research online and have seen more than a few bad reviews for Frontline. That being said, I was a bit skeptical but desperate so I purchased both kinds, (dog and cat) it cured them within a few days.I don't generally write reviews on products but they really saved my babies and I'm appreciative. Great Product!

I'm still combing live fleas off of him IT HAS BEEN FIVE DAYS. I AM TOTALLY OUTRAGED AT THE RESULTS OF THIS PRODUCT IT IS NOT FAST ACTING!!!!!!!!!!!! And it was applied correctly, I followed the instructions and everything.

I have an indoor cat that got fleas. I went immediately to PetCo to get this product. I have been using it for almost 3 weeks now and there are still several fleas jumping around on him. When I first applied the treatment, my cat was running around the house like a maniac. I am definitely going to try another product and will not use this one again. I am going to try Advantage II, which PetCo did not have in stock when I tried to purchase it in-store. Once I try it, I will write another review to let everyone know if this one works. Right now, I am desperate...We lived in RI with my cat for several years and never had a problem without using a flea product. Now in Florida, it seems that this State is infested with fleas. PROTECT YOUR CAT AT ALL COSTS!!!

Frontline is awesome. I have used thuis product for years.
Only draw back it does not take care of ticks, but for fleas it works great.

Frontline no longer effective for many cats

I always had great results from Frontline so of course I bought it again when Summer 2012 rolled around. What an awful surprise when I discovered it no longer worked on my cats--did not work AT ALL. I couldn't believe it! So I went to my vet and he explained that flea treatments need to be updated periodically since fleas eventually become resistant. He said that Frontline had fallen behind on bringing their product up to date and although it did still work for some cats, it no longer worked for many others. He recommended Revolution. It got rid of the fleas fast and it remained fully effective even longer than advertised ( 3-4 weeks). So be careful about spending a lot of money on Frontline before you are sure it is going to work. Though how you would be sure in advance, I don't know! At least be aware of this issue.

I have tried many other flea and tick products for my two cats. None of them worked as well as Frontline. It is worth the price.. And my cats didn't mind it once I applied it. It was not sticky and smelly like the others I have tried.

I've been using the Frontline for cats since it came out and I've never had a problem with flees on them, or none of the cats ever had an allergic reaction to it! That means I'm completely satisfied with this product,and will use it for years to come.

Use it on my house cats and a couple of semi tame feral spay/neuter & release cats in my neighborhood. We have a localized feline lice problem and this both clears up the wild one & kills any "transfer " lice I might bring in.

My cat has been burned by other flea products, but Frontline for cats is comfortable on her skin, soaks up quickly, and KEEPS THE CRITTERS AWAY!

I'm Chooki and I am a domestic short hair tabby. The frontline worked for about a week. Soon after, I started scratching again. I noticed that I was depositing flea dirt all over the place. This was suppose to last up to a month but it only lasted a week. I'm itchy now and my owner is very upset!!

I have been treating my cat with Frontline Plus for about 9 months and just recently noticed he has fleas. I have been very consistent with the monthly applications, and just called my vet's office to discuss an alternative treatment. They confirmed that they have been getting a lot of calls like mine and the fleas have become resistant to this product. I am going to day to get another product from the vet...sorry, I don't know the name of it yet.
