"I have a slight bias as sacrificing these flies saved some lives! I have 4 baby newts that were born in my aquarium a few months ago. Most of them did not eat the food provided at all and were getting very skinny. I tried the flies as a last resort. I was very reluctant as newts are slower moving critters. And they took to them right away! It was so triumphant to see them chase and capture them! They've been flourishing ever since!

As for the flies themselves, I'm very satisfied w/ the packaging/quality. The environment provided does allow them to cycle and yield offspring. Every now and then I get a tube that might've been exposed to too much heat (flies drowned in media), but it's a rarity.

Highly recommended!"

waste of money

"I bought these for my tree frogs, but they didn't really like them much. The ad said that they would keep hatching for several weeks, but after about 2 weeks all I had was a stinky, yucky mess!"

Great Choice

"I ordered the friut flies for my son's pet praying mantis Zoey. I gave her much as 10 when they first arrived. I have never seen her go after something as fast as she went after them ! She loved them !! Very fast delivery, Just know next time not to order on a Thursday or Friday ! Poor Zoey went the Weekend with only about 6 a day in stead of 10.. But Petco had great rates and a great Delivery Time !!! I will cpntinue to [urchase Zoey's food from here !"

flightless fruit flies

"My little baby thumbnail frog absolutely LOVED these!!

The shipping was lightning-fast!

Even though these flies are a little pricey, they are so worth it- my frog is VERY happy! :)

And suposedly they last for weeks, so the price is great, too. Thanks!"
