Excellent Scratching Post!!!
Date: December 19, 2008
"Since getting this, my cat has not scratched anything else at all! He did not immediately take to it, but by demonstrating with my own claws, he started to get the idea. I started out giving him treats whenever he used it, and he still will scratch it and look at me hopefully ^_^ ."

Can't Do Without This!
Date: November 17, 2008

"I'm a foster home for an animal rescue organization and I have two of these scratching posts. The cats and kittens love them and use them all the time! (I also have sisal items on the floor for the horizontal scratchers.) I recommend this scratching post often to adopters and it always gets rave reviews. Great product - great alternative to declawing."

My Cat's Love this!
Date: September 20, 2008
"We moved to a new apartment with a leather couch and my cats slowly started poking holes in it. I bought this online to see if I could deter my cats from destroying my couch after I read the positive reviews. Once I got it in the mail it was easy to put together, sturdy and looked great! It took my cats a little to understand what it was so I put one of their favorite toys on top of it. Once those nails discovered the scratching surface it was all over! It's so nice not having to worry about my couch being torn to shreds. They even shipped it to an overseas military APO address!!"

SmartCat Ultimate Scratching Post
Date: July 21, 2008

"We have five cats. Three are 7 years old and two are 11. We have hiden treats in the grooves where the post comes together to get them started using this. Slowly they are getting used to the post. I love it and hope they get used to it also. It is well-built and looks great. We have it in the living room."

Worth the Money
Date: July 12, 2008
"I bought this because of the height---tall enough for the cats to stretch out and claw. I really thought it was over-priced when I ordered it. However, now that we have it, I think it's worth the money when compared to most cat furniture items. It's very sturdy and has a big base so it won't tip over easily. The whole item looks really nice, not cheap. The cats really like to claw it!"

Great Sturdy Post!
Date: June 17, 2008
"It is a heavy, sturdy, and good quality scratching post. I love the height/length because my cats are able to stretch their bodies while scratching. They love the post, especially after their kitty naps. They also enjoy climbing on it as if it is a tree. Great product overall...but if I could improve it, I would add a little bed or a soft laying area on the top of the post. I would definitely recommend to anybody. There is no need to declaw! My cats don't ever scratch my furniture. :)"

Furniture saver and cat entertainment all in one
Date: May 11, 2008
"I purchased this for my large (tall) older cat after she took to stretching out and scratching on the back of my sofa. This was new behavior despite her advanced age since the back of the sofa had not been previously exposed in our old apartment. For most of her life she had been content with a cardboard flat scratching station. When I first set this up, I thought I had wasted my money since no amount of coaxing and catnip would get her to pay any attention to it. My husband hung one of her favorite cat toys from the top, and 6 months later, this old cat learned a new trick and began to use the post and hasn't looked back since. She loves this post more than the sofa and she can stretch all the way out on it, which she would not be able to do on a smaller post. Asthetically speaking, this is one of the more attractive cat scratchers on the market, so while it is not unobstrusive, at least it is not super ugly."

Tiny Otis loves it!!
Date: May 4, 2008
"My name is Tiny Otis, but I'm a Big Cat. I am so big that I can stand on my hind legs and put my front paws on the edge of the kitchen counter (this comes in handy when I supervise MommyPeoples while she makes the dinner). Me Peoples got me this post after I started scratching DaddyPeoples' big noise boxes (humanspeak: speaker towers). I didn't understand what the post was for until MommyPeoples rubbed catnip on it to get me interested. Now, well, I LOVE THIS SCRATCHER!!! It is quite tall so I can stretch and scratch at the same time, and it doesn't fall over no matter how hard I pull or push! DaddyPeoples is no longer Angry at me, and MommyPeoples is happy that DaddyPeoples doesn't call me names any more! If you have a Big Cat, get this scratcher! MommyPeoples says it is "worth the investment," whatever that means!"

Good Post, Not Great
Date: April 18, 2008
"I bought this for a cat who wouldn't scratch anything but the door frames in my apartment. It took about a day for her to use the post. Now, she uses it daily.
However, I don't think the post is worth a $70 price tag for two reasons. 1. The sisal is loosely attached to the post. I feel pockets of air when I touch it. 2. The post tends to wobble slightly when my cat stretches against it with her body weight. While she is slightly overweight, she's not obese. Luckily, she hasn't stopped scratching it due to its minor instability."

A great investment!
Date: April 1, 2008
"My cat loves this post! He is a very long cat. When he uses this post, he is able to extend his entire body. He uses this post all the time. When he comes inside, he goes straight for his post. When he gets up after a nap he uses this post. He never scratches on the furniture until his first post was so shredded, it would not allow him to stretch. Needless to say I bought a new one that same day. A great investment! Our first post lasted over 18 months!"

Worth Every Penny

Date: February 26, 2008

"If you have large cats, this is definitely the best scratching post. It is attractive, very sturdy, and tall enough for them to stretch and scratch. I also purchased a padded perch for the top and the 15 pound Maine Coon loves it. A super product all around."

Well Worth The Money
Date: February 12, 2008
"I bought this scratching post for my three cats as a Christmas present. Two of my cats have claws and one doesn't. Only one of my clawed cats uses it as well as the declawed one. They both enjoy it very much and use it on a daily basis. Of course the baby of the three still thinks it's acceptable to use the couches and rug as her means of scratching. It's a cats world and I just live in it! This is definately worth the price!"

"THe best scratch post in the market. It is super sturdy and super tall. My cats loved it the minute we got it. No more scratching the the corner of the sofa or the rugs or even worst my side of my mattress. I cant say how amazing this post is except buy it for yourself."

"I have 2 cats. Shaka is a big linebacker and Mavrine is a low flying blur of fur. I needed a post with stability that would stand up to the solid hits of the big guy and acrobatics of the long legged runningback. They also love the full length stretching it provides for their workouts. They knew it was for them the moment they saw it and it is the only thing that they scratch in my home. It really is the Ultimate scratching post. The beautiful design is a plus... looks good anywhere. Thanks for a great product, its a hit!!"
