Fire Away! Date: May 29, 2007
"I bought this as a gift to a friend because I loved it so much. It's 11inches diameter, so it was a little smaller than I expected, but it is still the perfect size for 1-4 firebelly toads, or 1-4 firebelly newts (or mix and match to create a realistic looking natural envirnment). You can place some small, smooth river rocks on the bottom to help the toads/newts to climb and swim, and just fill the habitat with dechlorinated water up to the "basking ramp" in the middle. This will give your little guys the watery playground they need and a little dry land to rest up. Overall: This is a very economical kit and adults/kids alike will love it as well as your pets. This makes being an amphibian parent a lot easier."

"I
bought this product for my two Chinese Bellied Salamanders. I adopted
them after they were abandoned at a local PetCo store. I love all the
great features of this home and so do my little salamanders. They are a
small breed and will never grow to even 2 inches long so the size is
perfect. Also, with a little gravel they love to bask under their heat
lamp or go for a swim. They are so happy and their home has a lot to do
with that. I strongly recommend this to pet parents with smaller breeds
or as a starter for young animals."

it's ok Date: November 16, 2006
"This product is just ok. Probably the best use for it is if you have a tadpole that just changed into a small frog or toad, then its good so the frog can have acess to land and water, and learn to hunt. But once the frog or toad grows this is way too small and a bigger cage is needed.

Having the bottom removable I find makes it worse, if you lift up the cage and dont hold the bottom the water will spill out, and when you place the cage on the base water tends to flow out and onto whatever the cage is on, like a table, it's a mess.

Would not reccomend it for salamanders, newts,or aquatic frogs."

Don't buy that piece of junk!!! Date: February 17, 2006
"The lid broke right out of the box. The bottom is NOT secure at all, we had to use tape to hold the cage together! The cage had to be cleaned constantly. I finally threw it away after 2 weeks of use. Don't buy it! "
