"This is a product that, before you buy it, makes you think, "Do I really need this? Do I really need to spend money on this?" So after agonizing over the decision you decide to make the purchase. You're doubtful but hopeful. But when the product actually does what it's supposed to do, the heavens open up and trumpets sound and you think, "Why didn't I do this sooner?" I have a year-old Golden Retriever named Daisy who weighs 80 pounds. I am a single mother of a toddler and have spent the past year trying to train this dog. She was a fairly good puppy, but had some bad (and dangerous) habits like jumping up on people, begging for food, nipping, chewing, digging, etc. I tried my best to train her myself but some habits are hard to break. When Daisy dug out my newly planted rose bush, that was the last straw - I decided to purchase a "shock collar." After reading countless reviews, I decided on this product. Golden's are notoriously easy to train, but this collar seems like a miracle. I watched the helpful DVD the product came with and as soon as I put the collar on her and gave her a mild "shock" (which is like a static shock) for jumping, she immediately sat down like I told her to and didn't move until I gave her the "okay" command. I tried it again this morning when she was begging for food. All I had to do was put the collar on her and tell her to sit. I've only "shocked" her a few times but that's all it took. After a year of unbelievable stress of trying to train this dog and almost getting rid of her, this has made my life so much easier. This is so worth the money. I love that the collar is rechargeable and that the contents come in a handly little carrier. I can't wait to take Daisy to a park and give it a try. I bet there will be no more running away. I also love the 300-yard range and the 7 stimulation levels. Daisy responded to the first level so I didn't have to increase the strength which I was thankful for. Daisy doesn't yelp or act like the "shock" is hurting her. She just turns her head in the direction of the shock like, "What's going on?" I think it startles her more than anything because she doesn't know what it is. I also love that there is a button for a continuous shock (up to 10 seconds), a button for one shock and a button for just a tone."
