Great for Guinea Pigs

Bought these because I liked that this pair had grips. Most of the other clipper designs did not have grips. These scissors can be used for both left and right handers. I have a young guinea pig and I was very nervous about clipping his nails, since this is the first guinea pig I have had and this would be the first time he would have his nails clipped. I let my guinea pig sniff and chew on the handle for a little bit so he could get used to it before having them near his paws. The clippers do not catch at all, so they react to every slight hand movement you make. He has all black paws so I only cut just a little of the nails off at a time to make sure not to hit the quick. They are very precise! They also make absolutely no sound when clipping, so there's no noise to startle him. The curve to them is very helpful to place the nail between the blades correctly. Highly recommended.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Better finger grip

got these because they have a better finger grip than regular nail clippers for ferrets and with four carpet sharks, that's a lot of nails.
