Massive but makes my gliders happy
PostedSeptember 24, 2013
So my husband and I bought this cage for our 2 sugar gliders as such I can only write this review as it applies to my pets although of course I can talk about the actual cage and I will, don't worry.
This cage has a a lot of positive aspects but it does a few things that kind of made us go "ehhh" at first. The important thing to gain from my review is the cage works for my house hold and my sugar gliders are super happy in their new home.
The cage itself is nice. We haven't tried cleaning it yet but that will be an experience because the thing is MASSIVE. Also the roof is a little extravagant for us and it's not the most glider friendly (nothing for them to grab) but this is a bird cage so I'm sure it works for birds. Heads up: unless you have larger than average doorways, the room you assemble this cage will be the room you keep this cage. Oversight on my part.
Also, this cage is a bit loud and by that I mean the cage bars reverberate more. It's not a huge thing but it was a change from the previous cage. I don't know how loud birds are as far as jumping around from perches but sugar gliders jump around so just a heads up. :)
The instructions leave a bit to be desired. If you get this cage, the cage walls have "L" shaped ends. The short end of the "L" faces outward. It seems backwards while you're putting the cage together but it works in the end. Promise.
All in all this is a great cage. I know I listed 3 little issues but those challenges aren't things we can't a) live with or b) find ways to fix or mitigate so we're happily keeping the cage. It makes our pets happy and our vet approves so we can't ask for much more. Either way best of luck to whomever if reading this and happy cage hunting.
I would recommend this to a friend!
