Good product, not so good dog!

"This car seat seems like a great idea and I have high hopes for it eventually. My little Pomeranian was a terror in the car, jumping around, front to back, trying to look out all the windows. We are struggling to get used to confinement, which I know is safer for both of us. He still tries to jump out of the seat, the clip attached to his harness restrains him. Also he rolls around and growls, and bites at the straps. But it's getting better, Poms are very strong willed and I have to be stronger! :) The seat is easy to attach and detach. I know we will get used to it and be safe!"

"I purchased this product for my mini dachshund when he was only three months old and it worked great. He was very comfortable and could see out of the car well, however he is now 10 months old and he is too long to fit comfortably in the seat. I would recommend the seat to anyone with a small dog that will remain small."

"My Pekinese loves her car seat. She practically loads herself into it when I put her in the car. She can sit next to me, see everything out the front and side windows, and is safely restrained at the same time. The only problem I've had was the clip for the headrest strap breaking. Other than that this product has been a great investment and I feel so much better knowing my Baby will be restrained in case of an accident."

"Sometimes works perfectly - not a design flaw as much as my puppy much prefers sitting in my lap. I did add a Sherpa mat for the bottom. Actually the Sherpa Mat was designed to use with a litter box but I cut it to fit the bottom of the lookout."

"I bought this a couple of years ago, and my dog still loves it! She loves to ride in the car, but hates to ride in her crate, she is not happy unless she is in her seat! She's a 6lb. toy fox terrier, and with the seat, she can look out the window and see everything that is going on in the car, while being safe. It is easy to put in and out of the car. The only thing I would suggest is lining the bottom of the seat with a towel or blanket, it's nylon and slippery; otherwise, it's perfect for small dogs."

"this product is just great. my dogs can ride in the car and i know they are safe. i would never let my child ride without a car seat, so why should the dogs be different. it also keeps them out of trouble and protects the interior of the car. my dogs love them because they are up higher and can look out the windows. i have a pug and a min-pin/whippet (both about 20lbs) and the seats are the perfect size, they have room to move around a little and can easily lay down and rest in them. my pug was always very nervous in the car before and in her seat she is much more relaxed. it is also very easy to install and the front pocket is a great place to put their leash."

"We have a mini dachshund and she loves it. She loves to look out the window and this puts her, safely, at window height. On a recent long trip to visit our son, she road in it the whole trip and was able to move around and get comfortable. She had no problems getting back into it after stops. It is a great product that anyone with a small dog should have AND USE. If you have a larger dog, this will not work and a harness system is a better choice."

"I purchased this seat for my yorkie but he felt confined to only laying down in the booster seat. There really wasn't enough room for him to move around and the attached leashed to me was to short. My dog loves to look out the window but he was unable to do so. This even made getting him into the booster seat even harder because he just didn't like."

"When I got Pokie, I didn't want him to be a projectile on his trips to the vet, etc. and searched online for recommendations for a safe car seat. I wanted him to be elevated off the seat so he could see out, but tethered so that he couldn't move around or be thrown forward if I had to stop suddenly. The clip attaches to his harness securely and has enough "play" that he can sit up and turn or lay down comfortably, but can't get out of the seat. I feel safe knowing he's well secured and at the same time happy in his vantage point when we travel. I highly recommend it."

"My mother bought this for my shih tzu puppy when she saw how upset the puppy got riding in her crate. I have rigged the seat so that it can be attached to the carseat anchors in the back. Not only is the puppy safer, I do not have to remove the seat when I have passengers.
The puppy enjoys having a little spot of her own in the car and we have traveled over 2000 miles with her sitting in her seat. When she is not looking out the window, she is snuggled down, fast asleep. A must have for small dog owners."
