"If I were a cat, I'd probably love it. But I'm not a cat, and my cats actively avoided it. If I set them down on the bed, they'd run off as if I'd put them in a bucket of water. I've noticed my cats prefer shallow beds with stiff edges (e.g. the cardboard base of a case of canned cat food or a 24 pack of water). They like the support it provides. And if the bed is a couple inches tall, it's even better because then they can let one arm hang out lazily, straight down. Stiff sided beds also provide good head support. Though I must say if you do find one that's a bit taller, the cat may prefer it upside down -- mine do. This bed however, I needed to return. Even spraying it with "De-stress" spray didn't help."

"these are great, especially for beds, couches and chairs that your cat loves to sleep on. No hair on your furniture. My only complaint is I bought 2 thinking I could get 2 colors and I got both gold."

Super warm for winter nights!

"I bought 2 nests because the cats keep fighting for warm sleeping spots during the cold our Minnesota winter. One nest is on the floor by the Western (i.e., COLD) wall, and Kitty 1 sleeps in it all night. The second I put it on the floor, he got in it and curled up. Kitty 2 still prefers to sleep in MY bed but likes the nest, also. The construction seems good, as are the size and colors. After several weeks of heavy use, they still seem very clean. One cat is a smaller Bengal with a long body and the other is a big Maine coon (17 lbs.), and they both fit comfortably."

"I've been hesitant to get a bed for my kittie.. I heard that its just a waste of money, that she'll never use it, etc.. However, I got new sheets that I didnt want cat hair all over (kittie sleeps next to my head), so I went to Petco and purchased this bed. Well.. Charlie loves it!! Bravo, 5 stars.. it's as though she knew it was hers right from the start. I was worried that she'd be too big for it, but she seems to have molded her body right in there. So cute! And it's machine washable!!!!!"

My cats are fighting over it!

"I ordered one of these cat beds on 12/30 and it arrived today, 1/5. I was impressed! I've never bought a cat bed before. Mischa and Sasha sniffed it, kneaded the soft bottom a few times, and walked away. I put it on the bed next to Toby, who had been an abused stray when I adopted him four years ago, and he got up and climbed in. He must have had a cat bed in his former life. Unfortunately for him, Sasha saw him sleeping in it and when he got up hours later to use the litter box, she climbed in. She then swatted Toby over the ears when he came back to "her" bed. I got on-line to order a second bed and am disappointed that they're out of stock again -- although I clicked the Notify link last time and got notified within a couple of days. The bed is taller than I expected, about 7 inches, which is a good thing for keeping the cat warm. I wish you had them in a larger size, as Toby weighs 18 pounds and looked cramped in this one. My only complaint is that I can't choose my own color. The only color that is absolutely awful in my home is red -- so of course the cat bed I received is red!"

Looks great but my cat doesn't like it

"This product looks great and it is made well, however, for some reason my cat will not go anywhere near it. I have tried to trick him by pilling his toys inside the bed and giving him treats even if he so much as snifs the edges... and will no resolve. He absolutely wants no part of it....."

Great bed

"I bought 3 of these for my 3 cats so they wouldn't have to fight. In the end - only one goes used. The other two have decided it's better to sleep on my clean clothes or the bed. But the one who does use it is ALWAYS in it. He loves it. It's very substantial and plushy. After searching around for beds this is the best price I could find for a good bed. I would recommend it. I got them in Tan just so the fur didn't show up all over the Black."
