"I wanted to try a natural solution to harsh chemicals for my Husky. "De Flea" is great. This shampoo does work and left no residue or smell. With a heavy coat, you have to work it in a bit. Maya didn't seem to mind."

This shampoo really does work.

"Other reviews of this product match perfectly my own - the fleas die immediately in the fur. It was smelly, but worth it, and this dissipated after a day. We did bathe a cat, so she didn't enjoy it, but the product was quite effective.
A tip on cats if anyone reads this: fill a bucket with the bath-water instead of the tub; rub the shampoo in before dunking the cat up to the jowls into the nice warm water. : ) Makes it so much easier to hold her, and I think this idea came from Marc Marrone.
My mother thinks the noise of running water contributes to the cats' fear, so that is something to think about; we filled the bucket first."

"It says on the bottle "Kills fleas on contact." I've never seen a product acutally do this before now. I rubbed some on my dog and watched as all the fleas I just covered stop moving and they stayed there for the rest of the bath! I washed them off and down the drain with all of the other fleas!!! He didn't start scratching immediatly after his bath like he did with the old shampoo I was using. It was definintely worth the price!"

"My dogs were slowly being tormented by fleas. I had never had a pet before so I didn't know about fleas and ticks. I actually found a tick on them and ignorantly pulled them off. After constant scratching and whining, I bought a whole bunch of stuff including this shampoo. I was AMAZED how well it worked. I saw at least 3 dead fleas on each dog as I shampooed them. While shampooing the scary one (Lucky), one flea decides to run for cover on his stomach. I saw it and poured the shampoo on it and it began to squirm. It was dead within 3 seconds. I was sold. And it makes bathtime easier by just pouring and lathering. Just a word of advice though, rinse thoroughly! Their fur is now dry with the residue of the shampoo. Now I must go to stock up on the shampoo while it's on sale."

Great for cats that love baths

"This shampoo gets rid of fleas and is safe even for new-born kittens. It got rid of the fleas quickly and kept my cat free of them for a while. My cat, however, hates baths so we had a hard getting him to cooperate.
If your cat loves baths, this porduct is perfect for you."

Amazing product, kills fleas on contact

"I purchased this item to use on three new kittens that are in my care,
and it truly did exactly what it says, killing the fleas on contact. My
kittens had adult fleas on them that they picked up from their mother,
I was worried that the product may be too harsh, but it worked great
and these kittens are only 3 weeks old. As soon as I started rubbing
the shampoo into their fur, I noticed that the fleas were lifeless and
not moving, truly amazing. You can't use products such as Frontline and
Advantage on 3 week old kittens, so this shampoo is what I would
recommend for anyone who has small puppies or kittens. One of the
kittens did react with a slight foaming around the mouth, but it
stopped about 30 mins. after the shampoo. The shampoo doesn't look like
normal shampoo, just for those who want to know the consistency. I
thought it would be thick but it was thin yet very easy to apply with
only a slight odor. I highly recommend this product if you want to get
rid of the fleas fast!"

"I've become increasing worried about the use of actual pesticides, suvch as those found in Frontline, etc. (Not that they are good and usual in the own right) on pets.
I live in an area with a large feral cat population and thus lots of fleas. And this product works like a charm. It works on the dogs. It works on the ferrets. It's wonderful.
I had one ferret who was absolutely covered in fleas and after three washings, there wasn't a flea left alive.
An absolutely fabulous product."

"You know you can't use flea collars or flea shampoo on a kitten but this stuff works on kittens. It is safe for kittens. I used it on my 5week old kitten and it kills the fleas ON CONTACT so the only thing I had to do besides scrub good when bathing her is get the dead fleas out of her hair. I would 100% rather pick dead fleas out of a kittens hair then try to catch moving ones.
This stuff is GREAT!!! Highly recommened!!"

"this is a great product. Actually kills the fleas unlike several other flea shampoos that only drowned the fleas. Worked like a charm on two foster puppies and never had an outbreak in the house as it was used prior to bringing into the home."
