I own a short haired american bull dog mix and she is hard to shop for when it comes to winter clothes. She hates the cold and since we live in PA it gets really cold. I wanted a warm coat and came across this product. I only found 2 in her size (XL due to her broad chest) in 2 stores. One coat from both stores was dirty. That left me with Black or Red. I bought both colors since I didn't have many options. The black one was worn off and on for maybe a month and was washed once. The velcro is falling apart and doesn't stay closed now. I am returning the other due to poor quality. Very unhappy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

have been eyeing this coat for a while. living in NYC some days can be pretty darn cold. so although she has coats I wanted one real "winter" coat for the deep freeze. I liked the look, feel, material (although wish it came in other fun colors). my shih tzu/llhasa apso mutt is about 14" long neck to tail. and I like her whole body covered especially if it's freezing. so I bought the medium and large. medium was a few inches too short. and large was pretty much swimming on her. I have to say most other coats I get her fit well in length so she is not a weird size. unfortunately this won't work for her b/c of sizing so I am returning both. she still has no heavy duty winter coat :(
I would recommend this to a friend!
