Bird loves it, so I love it!

I've only had this stuff for a couple of days. My cockatiel has been on Kaytee Exact Rainbow since I got him 4 years ago. He does great on the pellets, but he has always had strange colored stools. I tried switching him over to the ZuPreem Natural but he has always loved sorting his colors (greens are eaten first, then yellows, then red is saved until he's absolutely sure I'm not adding anymore greens or yellows to his food dish) and I think he loves the fruity flavor as well, he wouldn't touch the boring old tan pellets.
Well I decided to try the intune, fully aware that Pooky is a picky bird. I put a little bit in with the Kaytee and within minutes I knew I was going to write up a great review for this product. He went down to his food dish and, from the very beginning, started picking around the Kaytee Exact to get the Intune pellets. He even seems to like the red ones!
I don't feel comfortable enough with the product, having only had it for a little while, to give it five out of five stars. It's also unfortunate that pellet diets in general, but especially this product, seem to be so hard to come by! But other than having to search for it, I must say Higgins has a great product that everyone can love: Pooky gets his fruity flavored colors and I can sleep better knowing he's not going to stain the furniture with his bright firetruck red poo.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Small, clean and fun to play with

My sun conure was used to be on a all seed diet with sunflower seeds when it was with the previous owner. I bought her and was worried about changing its diet to pellets. I went to Pecto and didn't know which one to get , worrying if it will reject the pellets completely. I got this one because it was on sale and the pellets appear to be well made and small enough to fit into its claws and beak. Amazingly, it started eating the pellets without any protest or reluctance. It prefers the orange and red heart shaped pellets especially but also eat the green pellets occasionally as well. So far it really loves the pellets and the transition was painless. The pellets seem to be crunchy and hard enough to maintain good beak health as well.
