It puts out just the right amount of heat in my young ball pythons cage w/o adding excessive amounts of heat to the ambient temp. I tried several other spot / basking bulbs where this was a key problem. No issues in this area yet. This is the 1st time I've tried this one though, so I'll repost in a month or so as to its durability or how long it lasts.
I would recommend this to a friend!
