I bought this for our youngest kitten who kept trying to scratch on cardboard boxes. I laid it down, she instantly started scratching, and all was well.
Within 2 days, all 8 of our cats have used it, even the ones who have never expressed any interest in cardboard. Our sole de-clawed cat even sits on it to 'scratch'. I'm stopping in later this week to pick up even more.
The only down-side is that the cardboard shreds into confetti-like pieces, so if you're a bit OCD about how pristine your floor is, you may want to pass on this one. It's not anything we have a problem with in between the twice-weekly vacuuming, but it might annoy some people.

Since getting these scratchers, I find my cats scratch on these more and less on my furniture. My cats love these scratchers and I do too.

My cats love the cardboard scratchers and these are great because they are neutral in color. They are hardly noticible so they are not a distraction. LOVE them!

All three of my cats love this scratching post. I sprinkle a little catnip and they go crazy. It definitely saves the furniture and it helps their claws.

My cats love these cardboard scratchers! They seem to satiate my furry friends' need to scratch which is saving my furniture from a similar fate. I also appreciate how inexpensive they are. Truly a great find!
