This was one of the first decorations that I bought for my 15 gallon freshwater community tank. The purple does not fade, and I have seen no slime/mold on it. This plant is easy to clean and it looks great in my tank. However, I had 2 small tetras that would always get stuck in the plant, so I had to remove the plant from the tank until those two fish died. Also, fish food that sinks into my tank and gets pushed around by the air bubbler becomes stuck in the plant, so I have to remove the food (unless my fish eat it). The base can break and chip, and the little rocks can become loose, so I advise that you be careful with it. Finally, this plant is a little too expensive, but it is well worth it. I recommend this product.
