Loved to death!

We had bought one in the store. The cat liked it but didn't use it much cause the bottom would come away from the door instead of offering resistance to his claws. So we screwed it into the door frame. It has been so well used now, that he has shredded the pocket where the cat nip goes. We bought a second one online and it hangs on the door knob next to the other one. He plays with them both now. When he gets tired or frustrated with the one that moves he goes to town clawing the heck out of the stationary one.
One disappointing note is that the attached toy. My cat can get this toy off with very little effort.

My cat didn't use this. It just hangs on the door but as soon as the cat tries to reach up and grab it, it moves all over the place. He has no interest in the toy so it's pretty much useless to me. Maybe if it adhered to the door somehow it would stay in place but I will definitely be returning it.

Feather ball = great!

I recently got a cat and bought a scratcher because she has claws. Apparently she doesn't like to scratch anything. But my cat loves the ball with the feather. She plays with it all day long. It can be little noisy because the scratcher keeps hitting the door, but I eventually took the ball off the scratcher which is a good feature of the product.

I was given a Sphynx kitten as my first ever indoor cat without realizing they are notorious for being high energy furniture destroyers... I am so grateful that I found this scratcher because the ones that lay flat on the ground just didn't seem to interest Gretchen at all, she needs to be upright for her tearing activities. I've had this scratcher for over two months and it's still perfectly intact and the sofa is hardly touched anymore. I was convinced she'd have ripped the hanging ball/feathers off within the first hour but it's held up remarkably well, even when she manages to grab on and hang from it. Will absolutely be buying this again when the time comes!
