Recommends for training

I highly recommend this toy for frisbee training and exercise. True, being made of cloth and rubber it will not last very long if allowed to be used as a chew toy and it is definitely not a tug toy. The terrific thing about Chuckit is that as a frisbee it is very easy to throw and floats nicely for my dog to learn how to catch in mid air. The biggest benefit is that being soft, it is soft on my dogs mouth. Mine lasted 6 months by limiting its use to frisbee toss. That's not bad for a $7.50 dog toy, and he LOVES it!

Didn't Hold Up

Bought this for my Lab, we played with it twice before I found the rubber on the underside of the floatation ring torn by his teeth. I think that the fabric might have held up to his playing if the rubber had lasted longer.
We returned it in exchange for rope toys that have lasted for over a month with many more months of use to come. He loves the ball launcher and the Whistler ball for games of fetch at the park and carries one of the balls around the house like a pacifier at times.

I bought this flying disc on a whim to see if my 3 month old Border Collie/German shorthair pointer would like it more than fetching balls. He is now 4 months old and this disc is almost toast. We have played fetch with it for 30-45 minutes almost everyday for the month that we have owned it so I guess it is expected. He has a soft bite, knows "leave it" pretty well and is not allowed to used it as a chew toy. We might get another month out of it. My puppy does love it and cries and barks the whole way to the park until I take him off leash and he does his border collie herding stance waiting for me to throw it.
Just recently he has finally started catching it, but only on perfect straight throws that are right to him which is hard to do with this disc. If you are a seasoned disc thrower that can snap your wrist then you might have trouble really floating this thing. The reason is the rim is to flimsy and soft so if you fling it to hard you will flex the rim so it will go side ways straight to the ground. So anyone who can really float a hard plastic disc knows if you can't spin it, you can't make it go far and straight. I would say it goes about half as far as a regular hard disc so about 75 feet.
I'm going to buy every other Chuckit! soft flyers so I'll give a good honest review for those products too.

This is my dog's favorite toy! She catches these frisbees in the air multiple times a day.
We have tried about 5 kinds of dog frisbees and this is the best! Soft for my dog to grip and gets good air time.
It won't last forever but they're inexpensive so I don't mind buying a few at a time.
If your dog likes to play fetch I definitely recommend this!

I bought a small flyer and a large flyer for my Boston Terrier and Lab. They both like the flyer very much! I like it because it flies really well and doesn't hurt their teeth like plastic ones. Only downfall is the dogs have already chewed them! They aren't made for any kind of chewing and are already coming apart. Wish the edging material could be chew proof! Price was comparable to other soft flyers.

I've purchased other soft disks for my dogs and of course the dogs love them all. This is my first time buying this brand and I was very happy with the purchase. It is easier to throw straight (without a big ark) making it much easier for my pup to learn to catch. The stitching is holding great. The light blue coloring does show the mud easily but the dogs don't mind and neither do I. Great product!

If your dog is into fetch - they will love this. I have a 1 yr old Aussie who is hyper. The chase and the jumping wears her out. These are great for in the water too. I love the fact that they are soft so puppies and young dogs can get used to catching a frisbee without getting hit by something hard. First one I bought lasted all spring thru the summer at the lake and all the dogs would play tug of war after racing to retrieve it out of the water. I just bought 3 more - want to make sure I have a stock of them since a lot of items we like sometimes get changed or discontinued.
