Petco aerator broke out of box?

I purchased a Petco aerator model AC-9903 and had it for a backup. It was broke right out of the box when I went to use it only one side would pump air. So I opened up the pump because places used to sell replacement parts then I found out they don't. So I inspected the inside and found one side had a rubber boot to pump air and it had a small crack that had been glued? So when I used it the small crack must've torn open because now there's a large tear and it's basically unfixable and my local Petco no longer sells this styleof pump or they've changed the style? So what to do now, I think getting on the online chat may guide me on what to do.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I wanted to wait to write this review until I had tested the air pump to make sure it worked well. I purchased the largest size air pump for my pond about 6 months ago after reading the other reviews and it has been great. My pond is small but deep and because of that, most air pumps won't work and the ones that do work tend to burn up after a month or so. This pump has been running 24/7 for the past 6 months in below freezing temperatures without any problem at all. We will see what the summer brings, but thus far I am extremely happy. Great air pump at a fantastic price!

Bought this last summer and love it, I use it for a 10 and 20 gallon tank for bait fish I catch from the bay. It's cheap, quite and just as good as the tetra brand.

I did not realize how bad my old pump was until I started this one. It does a great job. I have under ground filters that are now working like new. Very quiet,and comes with everything you need.

This air pump is extremely loud. I returned it immediately. Thankfully the local store handled the return well and set me up with a much quieter Whisper pump.

it has very good pressure but I don't recemend it for a bedroom aquarium... it makes to much buzzing noise!
you do get what you pay for!

For getting a generic actual store brand not a name brand air pump it was a surprise its nice, quiet and works wonderfully the only downside to this pump is there are ZERO instructions i mean it was not hard to figure out but for a newbie when it comes to fish minor instructions would be nice instead of hoping it works

This air pump is the best one I have ever used. I was not expecting it to be this good. If you are looking for a high volume air pump, please do your slef a favor and buy this one. It is worth every penny.

Bought this as an addition to my Tetra Whisper air pump. The Petco air pump produces too much noise compared to my tetra's. If you have a tank in your room, avoid buying this. Otherwise, it should be fine.

just bought this air pump today, it came with 2 air stones, 2 check valves and 2 sets of tubing. this is my first air pump purchase and my first experience with my freshwater aquarium so im doing this set up very slowly making sure i get everything right, aka no fish in my tank just yet just continuos cycling and setting up the decor. So far SO GOOD! this pump works great, noise level with the pump is no louder than my tetra whisper ex30 filter. Obviously you can hear it when you are in the room but you can't tell if its the filter or the air pump going, since it's both, WHO CARES!? The only part i wasn't very thrilled with was the lack of instructions that was included, all it said was "what not to do with it" instead of telling me exactly what to do, I'm a beginner i would like the instructions to be available in the box, i instead googled and you tubed proper set up and everything turned out great. Overall, Highly recommended product!!

I've owned many air pumps over the years and they eventually became too weak to pump out much if any air, this one by Petco is super strong though. Although this has 4 outlets you could easily split the tubes with connecters and this would still be more than powerful enough to run everything and have really long tube lines. I've been using this air pump on and off for a few years now and it still works like new. It does give off a bit of noise but probably not as much as other airpumps ive had in the past.
I would recommend this to a friend!
