Probably great for hamsters or gerbils or newborn ferrets but my ferret is almost 2 and she was WAY too big for the top and the hammock. Plus it's only $10 less than the ones for cats and those are way larger.

Too small, overpriced, but ferrets seem to like it.

I'm lucky that a Petco was closing down 20 minutes from my house and I only paid $15 for this, otherwise this would have been way overpriced. The main compartment itself is nice, the 'cushion' insert is also soft and my ferrets like to go in there and sleep inside too (check attached picture). The main reason we bought it was for the tube attachment which works nice. But, as others have suggested, the lookout tower and hammock are a JOKE. Seriously, not even my friends with 'teacup' ferrets can fit their ferrets comfortably in them. They are just way too small. Just look at my ferret asleep in the attached picture with his feet sticking out and you can tell a ferret would never be able to fit in that hammock. I'd only recommend this product if you want it for the tube attachment and you can get it on sale!

Nice product, but not the right design for ferrets.

This ferret hideway has a really nice fur like covering and the pad in the bottom is comfortable and removeable for cleaning. However the dimensions are all wrong for ferrets. I think it is a cat toy repackaged with a small hammock to make it look like a ferret toy. The hammock is only about 6 inches long, too small for even my smallest ferret. My ferrets kept trying to find a way to use it and kept getting thier necks caught up between the hammock and the post. I finally took it off. The upper perch is too high. With or without the hammock my ferrets can not get up onto it. I wanted to shorten the pole about 6 inches or so, but the connections are built into each end, so you can not just cut it off to shorten it. It really is nice quality if they would just make a few changes.

WAY too small for even the smallest ferrets. The hammock is a joke. It's maybe 3"x3" and the platform on top is maybe 6" across. My ferrets had more fun with the box so far... DO NOT get for ferrets.

Too Small For A Ferret

We were really excited for this activity center but it is too small. We have two ferrets; a large male and a small female. However neither one is considered a huge ferret. They couldnt fit in the hammock or the tower, nor do they play with the attached ball..Our male ferret sometimes sleeps in the bottom box half but that is about it....They should have made it larger so the ferrets could actually fit in it...very dissappointed :(

Too small!

Unless your ferrets are the size of rats, this is way too small! Even my runt who's guinea pig sized couldn't make use of it. It's also very wobbly and there's no easy way for them to climb to the top. The hammock is tiny, something a young rat could only utilize. The only usable part is the lower hub, but mine didn't want to sleep in there without cushioning. I ended up returning it.
It does seem great for rats though, if you can find some way for the urine smell to not build up.
