Review 1 for Marineland LED Aquarium Light Bar
Expected it to last longer and now have to get it online and pay $ shouldn't be spending so soon!

We got the hood and lamp specifically because they were supposed to be better than the kind we've used for the past 25 years. The first time the hinges on the hood broke within the first 9 months of purchasing it and the light went out completely just a couple of weeks after that. We replaced the entire hood and light ourselves. Once again, the hinges on the second hood also broke (I explain since we kept it for the light to fit but are not paying for another one) soon after getting it. The second light has also gone bad within 11 months. This time it's not the entire light. The 3 blue lights will work and 6 of the white lights work but it's not even near enough to light up our tank. I wouldn't reccomend purchasing his light unless you want to buy at least 1 every year! On top of that, I can't get it in store now. I have to purchase it online and also pay S & H. NOT a happy customer! Questioning if these new LED lights are better at this point since they aren't proving to last longer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

never had a problem

I have 16 tanks all of which are 55 gallon and over and i use these lights for all my tanks. 2 each on the 55 gallon and 3 each on the 150's. I have had them over 2 years and have NOT had ANY problems with switches or lights going out at all. I have several hundred fish and these lights really show them off and NO I am not a retail or wholesale shop this is a hobby in my house. I have 31 lights in all. If you use them properly you should never have a problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Review 3 for Marineland LED Aquarium Light Bar
Technology for a price but not the quality

They say up to a 30inch tank.....If it was 4 inches wide and 3 inches deep. It doesn't even light up my ten gallon. My Cories carry around little flashlights. The technology has been around for years, but just like HD televisions, the LED product is less than expected due to the design made by the companies that sell it at a premium price. Definitely not worth the price.
I have this light built in to the new hood made by Marineland. It light up my 29g tank well but not too bright. Works well for fish but will not provide enough light for plant growth. It is just slightly overpriced for what you get but it does work well. Ive had mine for over a year with no burnt out leds. The only complaint would be the fact that you do not have two switches for the night blue and the day white lighting. This would be a huge plus for those of us who have their light on timers. Having just the one switch is pretty lame. But this is the case with a lot of other LED lighting out there. So Marine land listen up, make your product stand out from the rest by putting in two separate switches.
