This was prolly the best attempt at a stronger stuffed toy but it still only lasted 2 days.

My peke-poo loves it. She doesn't exactly play with it, but she keeps it in her bed as a little cuddle buddy. The fabric is soft, but durable for hardcore chewers.

I'm not sure how well this would hold up to an adult chewer, but it is great for our little adopted termite! She has managed to annihilate quite a few stuffies but this has held up for three weeks and still going strong. She LOVES it too and I feel confident she can take it in her crate with her without super close supervision because she has not managed to get any pieces off. I would not leave the house with it in there, just to be safe, but as long as you're home and can check on them.

Duck Down

Our dog is a tough chewer and dismantles most soft toys quickly. When purchasing a new one, we anticipate a short life span but because he enjoys them so much, continue to give it a shot, seeking only a "longer" life span and a toy that can be destroyed without great risk of swallowing harmful pieces. This toy survived about three days, which is close to the record survival rate. The wings were the weak spot and eventually lead to him reaching the grand prize, the squeaker of course, but all and all, the toy held up well. It does not tear into small parts that are easily swallowed (husky/shepherd mix for size comparison) but you will need to monitor as the dog gets closer to the squeaker because it can be easily chewed up into bits. Unfortunately even before getting to the squeaker he did manage to bite into it hard enough to cease squeaking early in it's life, but he still enjoyed the post squeaking destruction longer than he has been able to with most toys.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
