"this cage is exceptional. my chinchilla seems to enjoy it, but when the time comes to clean the cage, it could be a pain. he leaves a mess on the platforms so i have to take it out each week, and it could be very frustrating. i also don't like pulling off the top portion of the cage to empty out the bottom, where his bedding is.
it is decent, however, for any toys you want to put in. i have a large wheel, hammock, and house, and there's still a little room for more. the cage locks are very good, so i don't ever have to worry about him escaping"

"I bought 2 of these for my chinchillas. They're a good size for one chinchilla. My female had babies & they could get through the bars so I had to put chicken wire on the outside to keep them in. I like it because it's big enough to put a 12" wheel in plus a house if you only put 2 shelves in."

"I put my two rats(male and female) in this cage. It was the best cage I've ever had until..... Cheesy(Female) got pregnant. She ended up having 3 babies. As soon as they were old enough to climb around, they could actually fit through the bars! So, I moved the babies in another cage which had skinnier bars, so the babies couldn't get out. I'm not saying this was a bad cage, but it wasn't the best for babies. I do recommend this cage to rat owners in need of a cage, but just not if your rat is pregnant. So buy this cage if you have female rats or male rats, just not a pair of a male and female. Now that the babies are out, Cheesy and Friendly are really happy, and I may move in the babies as soon as they are big enough. BUY THIS CAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I've had a lot of different animals during my life so far and have had many different cages. This cage is great for my chinchilla because it keeps most of the mess inside the cage. Grooves on the levels help keep in any litter or food from falling out the side of cage. My chinchilla loves to explore his new surroundings when I rearrange the levels of his cage. It very entertaining for him. I've had pull out tray cages before and they are very messy. I would recommend getting a wireless bottom like this cage."

"I bought this cage for my chins and I just love it! It sets up and breaks down fairly easily, but is very solid and cannot be disassembled without thumbs. The shelving is rather easy to put in and rearrange at a whim. There's a bunch of different set-ups to try; you don't need to make it like it looks in the picture.
It's pretty easy to clean, if you unsnap the latches securing the cage to the base and lift the whole thing as a unit off of the base.
If you're using it for chinchillas, though, just be careful to watch that they're not chewing on the plastic ledges.

"I Have This Cage For My Rats It Works Well With Large Rats But Small Ones Can Get Out Between The Bars. It Is Not The Prettyist Cage Out There But Roomy and Room For Toys. It Is Kinds Hard To Clean All The Bars But Better Ventalation The A Glass Cage."

"I got a ferret a couple years ago, and he came with this same cage. I like it, but it is a little small. Its the smallest i would get him. The things i dont like thou are he is able to open the doors if I dont lock them. (put the handle under the wire above it.) I also dont like the shelves, i cant really have 2 hanging beds, because they take up room, and one of the ladder clips almost broke. But overall its pretty good- but soon i might get another ferret and buy them a bigger cage."

"This works and looks perfect, except IF you have brand new baby chinchillas. They can and DO fit through the bars easily. But the adults and the babies all absolutely love it, and it is certainly strong enough for Chins."

Excellent cage for guinea pig/ferret

"I have my two full grown guinea pigs in this cage and they absolutely love it. They love pop-corning and running around the bottom in circles. The levels are great and you can even buy the food dishes to go in the holes. The cage has the perfect amount of space. I soon will be putting my ferret in because I am buying another guinea pig cage. Would definately recommend!"

Broken cage

"Within the first few months after I purchased this cage the lowest door broke. It had come off completely but luckily it went back on and my ferret can't get out of it. Also about a year after I bought this cage my ferret was able to bend a bar back and escape. I am currently using lots of tape to keep the bar down but I fear I will have to buy a new cage for my ferret. Also this cage can't hold a lot. I rearanged the platforms (not so easy) and could still only fit 1 litter box on the lowest floor (with little space for him to play) and 1 hanging cube and 1 Cuddle-E-Cup (I believe it is called) and my ferret is not very satisfied. I would not recommend this cage."

"I own 2 chincihllas, 1 gerbil, and 1 bird, but my chinchillas are probably the most satisfied with their cage. They both have this cage, and hardly ever want to leave it! When ever I see my chinchillas running and jumping around in their cage, I get so happy because I see them having fun inside the cage, even when they are alone. BUY THIS CAGE!"

What a mess!

"I bought this cage for my chinchilla, but it created a problem I didn't see coming. It was really nice for him to have different levels to climb on, but the design of the cage left me cleaning for months. Each level does not have a barrier like the bottom does, so when the bedding was tracked to the different levels of the cage, it ended up all over my floor. Every day there was a ton of bedding on the floor from him jumping around and kicking it out. I dont suggest this if you're trying to somehow keep it low maintenence."
