the day it came in the mail i tried to set it up for my guinea pig and it did not stop leaking, that same day i returned it to a near by store and got a better one

I had to look for soooo long to finally find a decent water bottle. Both of my guinea pigs use these! I like it a lot because it's so easy to just remove it out of the cage and then secure it back when done. At first I was worried about having the bottles fully in the cage, but I have yet to find an issue with it. The bottles are easy clean-up. I also like that you can turn the "nozzle" whichever way you would like unlike most all other water bottles. Last but not least, I like the floating turtle, it makes it easier to spot the water level.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm a little dissapointed I didn't get to reviewing this product faster, as the first commenter seems to have given this water bottle a bad wrap. WELL, IT'S GREAT & FUNCTIONS AWESOME! I love it, because you can use it for a bin cage as well. Once installed, it's easy to take on and off, plus I like the flat back feature (and turtle bobber). IT DOES NOT LEAK, just slow down a little people, and read the INSTRUCTIONS. Do everything correctly, and FILL TO THE brim! Sorry, I'm so "caplocky",lol but I don't want products getting bad reviews unjustly. Anywho, once you refill to the top and you go to put the bottle back in the cage, IF IT IS DRIPPING (mine does right after a refill, but look at the technique below) ----->tap that ball near the tip area where your animal goes to get a drink, then stop and see if it's still drippy, keep doing this until the dripping stops (you shouldn't have to do this for very long). Then it is good to go, and you shouldn't have to do the finger tap trip until right after a new refilling of the bottle. I bought the largest size bottle for my syrian hamster (just in case we go on vacation I don't want to even have to be concerned he wouldn't have enough water). 5 STARS!

It's possible that I received a manufacturer defective product, but I am not entirely sure. I know that this is the first review for this product, so I'll try to go over everything as best that I can. It connects to the cage amazingly, and the pop-on pop-off feature is great. The size is perfect for my rabbit, but after a day, I noticed a large wet spot at the bottom of her bedding. I stuck a bowl under the bottle the next day and the bowl was full of water when I came home from work. Because the bullets and descriptions both mention the fact that this item is NOT supposed to drip (the very reason I ordered a new one in the first place) I am quite disappointed. Needless to say, I am definitely returning this item and getting her a new bottle asap.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
